Condescending
Dr Vinglas was condescending and extremely short in his answers. He seemed annoyed and didn’t want to explain anything. He gave me a guess of what he thought the problem was, but said only an MRI could tell for sure. He also suggested I live with the pain. He gave me a steroid shot and then scheduled me to come back for absolutely no reason. Only reason I went back was bc I waited too long to cancel and would have been charged. He had me come back before the steroid wore off so there was nothing to discuss and I paid for him to tell me that hopefully the shot would get me through the summer. It lasted about 1 more week. I went to see someone else who made other suggestions as to what was going on, and after getting an MRI, the other person was right. Dr Vinglas is probably a very good surgeon, I don’t know, but I won’t find out bc he was so rude, I’m going to have done what I need done with a different surgeon.

Smooth sailing
I had rotator cuff surgery with a few extra nips and tucks thrown in for good measure. Couldn't have been in better hands. I would recommend he and his staff to any one facing shoulder surgery. First rate all the way around.

Dr. Vinglas is awesome! He always has a positive attitude, listens to and answers all questions, and tells you like it is, in a respectful way. He's also funny and quirky and he's the best orthopedic surgeon in this and surrounding areas. He has performed several surgeries on my husband and he is extremely skilled. Dr. Vinglas is one of those doctors you don't mind going to because you know it is going to be a seamless process, from initial consult to post-surgery. I will recommend him to anyone who listens!

I absolutely love Dr Vinglas and Marley and Marcy. I have had three carpal tunnel surgeries, two rotator cuff surgeries and numerous injections to fingers and shoulders. Dr Vinglas is the absolute best. It’s a pleasure to see him. He makes me very at ease and explains things very well in a manner I can understand. I trust his opinion 100%. He is a very pleasant easy going doctor. He always has time for my questions and a little personal interaction even when I’ve been worked in for a quick injection. Marley is a miracle worker with his schedule and I always seem to have extremely short wait times. Rarely am I ever there for more than 30 minutes for just an office visit and injection. My most favorite doctor.

I have had three office visits with Dr. Vinglas. The first was for a left index trigger finger. Each of the other two appointments was for cortisone injections into my CMC joint for arthritic pain. I am completely satisfied with the results. All three issues have resolved. My experience with Dr. Vinglas was very positive. He had an easy manner, answered questions well, and did not make me feel rushed or that he was anxious to get on to the next patient.

It was a seamless experience. Short wait, incredibly personal staff, immediate diagnosis of my problem, pleasant smiling Doctor. My operating day was equally fine. Staff, efficiency and time for some humor. I felt honored to have found them. Thank you so much. After 5 months I have total use of my shoulder and am continuing to gain lost strength.

Inadequately explained the difference between a CMC arthroplasty and a bone fusion when making my choice. Spoke in vague generalities about a trade off between strength and dexterity. He never mentioned the word pain involving the CMC arthroplasty or that my thumb would end up being an inch and a half below its original position until after the fact. . Neither did he mention that bone fragments commonly remain within the hand. Poor listening and communication skills. Not much empathy either.
