My 71 year old mother saw Dr. Sneeringer today for the first time. She desperately needs help with her breathing issues. This man comes in and barely looks at her history, doesn't acknowledge her and rudely cuts her off when she's speaking. He looks at me and tells me he doesn't have much hope for her because she has too many health problems and she won't get any better. As I sit there in total disbelief he leaves the room. He comes back with a prescription for Lasix. I ask should she take that since her heart doctor advise against it. He responded, "Well do you want me to help her or not?". At this point I'm enraged and tell him I don't think helping her is telling her she has no hope of getting better and she doesn't need to hear that, especially from a professional. I have NEVER seen a doctor show such disregard for a patient. She is elderly, has multiple conditions and he blatantly did not want to fool with her. He was rude, disrespectful, inconsiderate, uncaring with zero empathy!
