A doctor who truly cares about his patients
Dr Scher is always concerned about how I’m doing. I’ve had some difficult side effects of my medication and he worked hard to find a solution that gave me a better quality of life

True medical care begins with CARING!
I consulted Dr Scher for a hematology issue. Besides gaving a wealth of knowledge from years of practice, Dr Scher is a caring individual. Physicians sometimes seem to forget that when people are unwell they are in their most vulnerable state and what counts more than anything is believing that their doctor CARES about them and their treatment! I have received PHONE CALLS from Dr Scher at the end of his long day to discuss my condition! Serously, what doctors do that anymore?? So, yes, I highly recommend Dr Scher. My husband is now under his care as well as I told him he'd be week taken care of.

Excellent caring oncologist
I’ve been a patient of Dr Scher for over 12 years. From my first cancer diagnosis, I saw a specialist in North Jersey who recommended I see Dr Scher for routine follow ups so I wouldn’t have to travel up north. Whenever I needed treatments, Dr Scher has consulted with the specialist up north and saved me the trouble of traveling up there. Dr Scher always is up on new treatment options available and aware of things in the pipeline that might be available in the near future. He is also great about collaborating with other physicians and oncologists. He has a fantastic bedside manner, too. I always feel that he genuinely cares about my health and doesn’t hesitate to advise care if I’m feeling unwell. He is charming, yet down to earth and easy to talk to. He’s the type of person one would enjoy as a friend.

Best ever
I had breast cancer in 2001. I no longer need to see Dr. Scher, but I still do, every year. He’s so thorough and so personable. I always feel better after our annual appointment.

Dr. Scher is the kindest and most dedicated doctor I've had in a long time. He does everything possible to keep you in 'positive mode'. I have been under his care for about 13 years now with slow-progression CLL. He always makes me feel lucky that (if I have leukemia, this is the one I should be grateful for), it's very slow-moving and may never require medication, but if it does, there are many treatments for it. Instead of always dwelling on the fact I have this disease, I feel happy/healthy.

Dr. Scher has been treating my mom for Ovarian Cancer since 2010. She is on her third battle against this disease. He has been open, honest, caring, and friendly through it all. He is attentive to her needs and meticulously monitors all of her blood count levels weekly. I highly recommend him and the staff to any person afflicted with Cancer. He is truly a God send.
