I had the misfortune of being given an appointment with Dr. Roston, and I would advise anyone seeking treatment for their mental health to insist on working with another clinician. This doctor likes the sound of his own voice more than he cares about helping patients. He seemed to have a rigid agenda that he was trying to force on me, even after I told him what I needed support for and what sort of treatments have worked for me in the past. He abused his position as an authority by telling me that all Kaiser psychiatrists operate the same as he does, and he basically said that I couldn't get the help I needed from any Kaiser mental health care worker unless I engaged in treatment as he wanted, since they all work the same way -- This isn't true, and is a sick thing to say to someone seeking a doctors help.

Dr Roston pretends he cares at the first appt but really does not. He never showed up for our second appt and then told me to quit antidepressants cold turkey before he went away on vacation. I am still recovering from his lack of care years later. Stay away!!
