Dr. Richard Reicherter, DMD

Dr. Reicherter was my trusted dentist for over a decade. I went almost 20 years without having a cavity and in the course of a year and a half ended up with three crowns. He explained that my previous fillings had gone bad which was why I needed such considerable and pricy dental work. I believed him because he had my trust. During a recent exam, I told him that I felt a chip in a molar and thought I needed it filled. He told me there was nothing he could do about it – that we’d wait to see if it progressed and then he’d give me a crown. This was a shock to hear and I went to get a second opinion. I saw a different dentist who told me that it wasn’t a tooth chip – only that I had lost some sealant from years ago and he was able to fix it within 30 minutes and without Novocain. This made me realize that I probably didn’t need all that extensive dental work in the first place.Avoid this dentist at all costs. He is unethical and cannot be trusted.
