Not Your average exam
Dr Richard Noto told me he was doing an abdominal exam and then slid his hand up my shirt, flipped my bra off my breast and gave it a squeeze so hard I could see the red marks of his fingertips at the edge of my v neck shirt. While giving me a squeeze he made sure to keep eye contact with me and smile. He then left me to tug my bra back over my breast.

This Doctor Changed My Life
If it weren’t for this doctor my life would be completely different. Throughout my childhood (7-17y) he inspired confidence in me as he worked toward a solution for my bodies inefficiency to produce growth hormone. I was projected to be around 5’ tall possibly shorter. I am now 5’11”. Talk about changing my confidence… I’m reading some of the negative reviews below. His comments and physical exams were professional. He is confident, smart and to the point. Not to mention very good at what he does. His comments only helped inspire me to continue. I was 7 years old using needles 3 times a day for the first time. He made it EASY. He would tell my mother (I made her leave the room for physicals even at 7) “the kitchen is never closed” he would say to me “you’re too skinny we need to fatten you up”. This is real. It shouldn’t bother you. He’s not there to tell you what you want to hear…that’s not medicine…he’s there to do his job. He’s an old school doctor that knows what he’s doing.

His comments haunt me and it's been 15 years
I was 17 and very scared when I saw Dr.Noto. My mom was concerned about my amenorrhea. Dr.Noto told me "if I just lost some weight, the boys would be all over me." This sentence has stayed in the back of my head for my teens and twenties. I am 32 years old now. My mom took me to Albany Med where I was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries. It is controlled now with a healthy weight and diet, however, my self esteem has been impacted by his comments. Please retire before you scar more impressionable girls.

Dr. Noto has been caring for my son since he was 5 years old. He was diagnosed with Craniopharyngioma (brain tumor) Later he went into Procosouse puberty and then pushed in growth, after that Adult Growth hormone. In each situation, he met the challenge. He is what our family needed as a Doctor. He was there when we were worried, unsure, confused, and comforted my son when he cried thinking he may not reach the height of his parents and brother. Luke was meant to be no less in height than 6' 1'. He met the height of 5'11' and, which is due to constant blood work and the knowledge that Dr. Noto possesses. For us, he was a great communicator and advocate for my son. He is part of our family, we have moved to Fl and hope to find a person who Loves my son as much as we do. He has become part of our family. Also if you go there with your kid ask him to do his Elmo impression. Thank you, Dr. Noto

I would look for a more progressive doctor for T1D. Old school. We met him in the hospital after diagnosis and stayed with him for 8-10 weeks. After 6 weeks of NPH we looked to transition care. Office is also difficult to work with with regards to paperwork
