Dr. Marina only wants the easiest, obvious cases. If you happen to have one of those it may work out for you. I had an endoscopy and listened to the entire staff at Southwoods complain that he is always late and slow. He does not share procedure results. He will waste time sending you long letters via snail mail, which don't help much. I had 2 out of 3 test procedures show a swallowing issue - he said nothing wrong and refused to believe me - because well it was not easy.

Arrogant and uncaring
This "doctor" performed an upper GI scope on me. The last thing I heard before I went under was the nurse saying that she couldn't get the guide for the camera that goes in your mouth locked (I have a big head). When I woke up Marina had a very fast conversation with me and left. When the anesthesia wore off and I looked in the mirror my whole mouth was red and swollen like I had been beat up! Evidently he did the procedure without the guide and without any concerns for my welfare. He needs to retire!

Fast and no answer besides what I already know. Just hand pills and try something new. Had a test done and when I want a copy of result asked why because it’s a bunch of mumbo jumbo. I’m sorry but when you test ph levels and put a scope down my throat that’s not mumbo jumbo. Finding a new GI immediately because my symptoms only seem to got worse

Suffering from “moderate to severe reflux” – Nov 08, 2020
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Marina?
When I first became a patient of Dr. Marina, I was very sick with Crohn's Disease. I tried to heal myself naturally, and failed miserably. Dr. Marina worked endlessly with me (meeting every 2 weeks for about 18 months) to figure out the correct medication for me. Dr. Marina cares about his patients and will not give up on them. I cannot say enough about Dr. Marina and his staff. Dr. Marina gave me my life back. Thanks Doc!
