Issue with office
I saw dr kershen for a follow up he did a procedure in office wich could likely cause an infection went to ed they sent me home and to follow up with dr kershen and did on friday they did get back to me waiting on records didn't hear back from office called on hold for 56 minutes was asked what I wanted him to do cause the nurse did figure he could do any thing so like usual they don't listen to u so I would recommend finding a office that care and don't treat you like a number

Awesome Urologist
From my consult to Medtronic Stimulation trial to removal of temporary equipment, was very well organized. Appointment scheduling times were not unrealistically long. I spent no time waiting in waiting or exam room. The procedure was a bit uncomfortable, as any would be, but they did everything in their power to make me comfortable. Everything was explained as the procedure was being performed, which I appreciated. You even have the option to listen to music to help ease any anxiety. Dr. Kershen is one of a few in the State that has the training and knowledge to perform the procedure. It went so well, I’ve scheduled my permanent installation. From the scheduling of consult to the office staff to Dr. Kirsten to the Medtronic rep, Alex to the surgery scheduler, they are a well oiled machine and as caring as they come!

Nothing special about him.
Why would you go to him with something that wasn't routine when you can easily go to Boston or NY?Calling is never an easy task, put on hold forever, and then you get someone who cannot take a simple message. It feels like they have outsourced their telephone calls to some third party who knows nothing. Way too cumbersome to deal with Kershen and not worth it. Hard to get an appointment and he refuses to do Telemed or even to return calls.

Trying everything to make me better. Don't have to wait months for an appointment. Not completely better yet but first surgery saved my life. 2 more surgeries needed including one in June.

I saw Dr. Kershen for an out-patient procedure. He claimed it was a simple operation and he had done loads of them (it was far from uncommon). He botched my procedure to the point where I have no recourse for reversal. He talks a good game, but is far from delivering promised results. Now I'm stuck to deal with it for the duration.

For text book medical issues, I’m sure he’s your guy. However, if you have an “outside the box” problem, you’re probably better Googling it yourself, watching surgery videos on You Tube or paging Dr House.

I saw Dr. Kershen for a surgical procedure and it was successful. He explains what he recommends and why clearly, and he has a no nonsense, straightforward approach to urinary medicine. His bedside manner is good, too. I like his staff who are friendly and responsive, both online and via telephone. That said, it's not instant, though these days, nothing is instant in healthcare, so it's on par with that. Overall, I'd recommend him.

Dr. Kershen is a doctor I would recommend in a New York City second. He is both professional and friendly in his approach to helping you. More importantly, he is fully competent and successful in delivering the medical solutions you need.

His staff is wildly unprofessional and rude. He has no regard for the health of my 91-year-old grandmother who has called him numerous times for help. This doctor and his staff are hacks. If you take your life seriously, stay away.
