Dr. Richard Kern Jr, MD

I don’t know how he has the rating he has except for folks buying his job security program of countless appts and no results. He and his side kick tell you that we will do this and that but continue to send you for images after images. I confronted him about the fact that I have been seeing him for over a year and no resolution, after he collects his composure he said, well I have patients coming to me for over five years! I’ve told other doctors this and they could not believe it. He recommended surgery twice and now tells me that ship has sailed! He is in no way concerned about helping you get a better life. He said I needed neck surgery and another local doctor and the Cleveland Clinic had no idea what made him make that decision. His NP is basically clueless and follows what Kern tells him. I am very upset with his lack of concern for my health. I would give him no stars if I was able to.

He is the Best ever. I have had neck and back surgery and honestly I think Dr Kern is very good Neurosurgeon. He has Great bedside manner and explains everything so well. I could not be more pleased with him. We are lucky to have him in Wichita Falls. I appreciate Randy, too. He is amazing. I highly recommend Dr Kern and his staff.

Everyone seemed genuinely concerned especially Dr Kern as he gave us his assessment of my MRI results. He explained very well what options that I have. The lady at the front desk is a delightful way to start just a serious appointment! Thank you to all.

Dr. Kern performed brain surgery on me over 10 years ago. I had no problems. He was very conscientious and even left my bangs when he shaved my head; shaving only where he needed to make cuts. I am having some of the same symptoms and am being sent back. I told my doctor, "No one is touching my brain but Dr. Kern." I just got the news that he is moving and while I wish him well, I know that Chattanooga is losing a great neurosurgeon. I pray the new doctor is as good.

I have a long list of concerns about this office about and I never complain about anyone. The main point is their lack of concern for their patients. I had to wait for 2 months to see Dr Kern aboutndboutnd I was an existing patient in great pain. Neurosurgeons won't see another Dr's patient for two years post op, so I had no choice but to wait. Then he canceled the night before to go help another surgeon do surgery. They said I had to wait another 6 weeks to see him. Even though he canceled!

First visit I found Dr. Kern to be very nice, throughal, caring. He listens.
