On the surface he is nice enough and knowledgeable but has become increasingly more irritable. In my last appointment with him be became visibly angry with me. I saw him for years and he was 'fine' for basic routine care. I never loved his bedside manner. It does not feel genuine and I never felt like I connected well with him or was listened to. It has become apparent to me why a doctor in practice this long still can accept new patients.

Very rarely listened to actual patient issues, often made me feel as if I didn't know my body or what I was saying wasnt making sense. Then after losing my job and insurance for 9 months, I found out I was dismissed as a patient with no concern about the medication or mental state as I didn't make an appointment although I had no insurance to even see the doc. I was basically blackballed from the entire office and now have to find a doc with new patient referrals which means I be even longer.

I have been seeing Dr. I for about 10 years. He is and has always been understanding and easy to talk to. He responds to my questions so that I can easily understand. Give me plenty of time to talk. Pays close attention to what I say to him. Great sense of humor. After my previous primary care doctor retired, I had a difficult time finding a good doctor. Dr. Ihnat was recommended to me by another doctor and I am glad I followed up with contacting him to be my primary care doctor.

I came to Dr Ihnat's practice when my insurance changed & my previous physician was not on the plan.Dr Ihnat &Dr Krasnoff came highly recommended. My insurance changed (again) &I stayed with Ihnat. Why? 1.He's smart & analytical & asked questions other doctors never asked. 2.His office runs on time. 3.The PA in his office is top-flight 4.The online system makes appointments easy to schedule. 5.Convenient location Specialists he referred me to have been A+ SSM is not"glam" but my care has been A+

You go to a small Dr's office to get old-world bedside manner. You go to a large one, closely affiliated w/ a hospital, to get access to state-of-the-art testing facilities, diverse specialists, etc. I made the right choice. I lost my doctor asking about my cat, but gained back tenfold w/ the amount of knowledge Dr. Ihnat has: keeps abreast of cutting edge medicine, knows quickly which specialist to refer me to if needed, & he's punctual and efficient. He doesn't babysit; he solves problems.
