Dr. Richard Gutsin, DO

I moved here from Texas. I was referred to Dr. Gutsin from a friend. Dr. Gutsin is hands down one of the most compassionate doctors that I have met! They don’t make them like him anymore. His bedside manner’s are on point! He listens to you! I cannot express how much Dr. Gutsin has helped me! Not to mention the whole office staff are very hands on! They ask me how I am doing. Just that feeling of welcome and love there leaves me feeling like I can go forward in my day! I look forward to seeing Dr. Gutsin for all of my follow up’s! I moved here to Wilmington from upstate NY. In NY I was fortunate the same doctor for 15 years who was great. When I moved, I researched doctors in this area. I my first choice was a mistake. I asked some of my co-workers their thoughts on their doctors oddly most were disappointed except one who lit up and highly recommend Dr. Gutsin. Medicine practiced the way it should be. Dr. Gutsin has been my Dr. for 13 years. He has successfully treated me for many illnesses. He is the best Dr. I have ever seen and I have seen many. He is humble, wise, compassionate, through, competent and honest. His wife Suzi is the office manager and she helps greatly, she has your prescription sent in before you walk out of the office. She is smart and a true Blessing as the whole staff is. I highly recommend Dr. Gutsin at Magnolia Family Medicine for all of needs. You will never find a more caring or functional facility. He treats you respect, dignity, and kindness. He only sends you out for referral if necessary. My experience is, he can handle just about everything. I have been to a few Drs here in Wilmington and have finally found the one ! Dr. Gutsin and his staff are fantastic . They went out of their way to help me. They made me an app the same day and treated me in good time . Looking forward in having Dr Gutsin as my primary care Dr.

This is a superb medical office. They pay attention to all the details. They make me feel like family. I love the staff. Dr. Gutsin helped me with a problem that 2 other doctors either didn’t want to help with or said they couldn’t help. I think this is a love it or hate it type of practice. I love it!

Dr Gutsin is always helpful. He is one of the few doctors that would rather help a patient get healthy through a lifestyle change than just blindly writing out prescriptions for another pill. He and his staff make you feel like family. And if he doesn't have the ability to take care of an issue, the knows the right specialists that can take care of the issue. I will not take my son to any other GP.

I have been a patient of Dr G for about 15+ years. He is very compassionate, down to earth, caring man. His team are just as caring as he. I cannot imagine going anywhere else. Other Doctors that I have dealt with treat you as a "#" They keep you waiting (even when you have an appointment) and then kind of rush through your appointment. At Magnolia Family Medicine you are treated with respect and like a friend of the family. Thanks to MFM for making a difference!

Treated with disrespect, verbally abused and completely unacceptably by the staff. A doctor and his employees should speak professionally and sympathetically to the patients. Dr. Gutsin allows his billing employees and secretaries to treat and speak abhorrently to his patients, and allows them to hang up on the patient. I had strep throat for 6m, he gave me the same medication that was not working, and was having me return to see him EVERY week! Will never recommend them to anybody!

Dr. Gutsin almost killed my father with his LACK of knowledge, interest, follow up, and so many other descriptions that would take too long to list. Long story short...labs were never explained in the correct manner and my father had diabetes and prostate cancer and didn't even know it until I asked him to request his records for me to review. Thankfully, we scheduled him to see someone else who saved his life and for that we are grateful that he is still here with us today. NEVER go to Magnolia

Dr Gutsin and his staff have always made me like part of their family. I enjoy being recognized as a person not just a patient. It's the best feeling to be greeted by name and made instantly felt welcome! There's nothing worse than going to a Dr not knowing if they remember anything about you! They have always been accommodating even with last minute referrals and emergencies. I have seen them with an office full of sick people and still felt like I was their most important visit of the day!

This is, unequivocally, the worst medical experience I have EVER endured. The entire staff, with one exception, is completely rude, disrespectful and condescending. Dr. Gutsin becomes confused very easily, even during the most simple conversations, and fails to recognize the detrimental conduct of his staff. I contacted them to make a simple appt for a referral after breaking my leg over the weekend and ended up changing doctors because it's is such an inept practice. A truly awful experience.

The best doctor I've ever had! Dr. Gutsin is knowledgeable about several different areas of practice and is the first doctor I've ever had that took the time to sit down and talk with me instead of rushing in and out of the office! I would recommend him without reservation!
