Family member sent home without proper exams
Family member called ambulance due to shortness of breath. Told me that he felt it was due to the pressure in his abdomen not allowing him to take a full breath. Family member is a major alcoholic in total denial and his abdomen has gotten bigger and bigger over the years. When I figured out which facility they brought him to I disclosed to the nurse what family member had told me and if they were checking his abdomen or liver as it is likely ascites. She said no, only chest CT for PE and BMP which doesn't show liver function. I asked if they could and she says she will notify the doctor. I get a phone call from the nurse about 30 min later saying they are discharging him and that everything looked good. I arrive and uncle says they told him his labs and imaging looked good. I checked the paperwork and he was diagnosed with a COPD exacerbation. They still only did a BMP with no liver enzymes, and CT scan stopped at diaphragm. The image report says cirrhosis and ascites.............

Worst Doctor Ever
Will review 0 if possible. When a patient gets to ER in the middle of the night and meets a doctor like Chang you are sure to be disappointed. Over lake hospital: it is a request from my side, please don’t schedule such doctors for Emergency. People really want care and attention.
