Dr. Richard Barnett, DO

Trying to get him to listen was exasperating, so I tried to show him 6 past labs for the same element and even that took too much time to spare on his behalf and he said they were too old. His response was it’s high because you eat too many grains and salad. I went in because of pain in my upper left side, but primarily concern over my irregular heartbeat which I knew was something I couldn't keep ignoring. .He didn't even bother to listen with a stethoscope. Again I tried to explain some history and he showed no interest, and in fact the first visit he told me that I could send it in through the portal and then the second visit I explained that I could not figure out how to do that he said it doesn't matter it's too old anyway. A patient’s history is important.

Dr. Barnett is by far the most rude and unkind medical “professional” I have ever met. I have seen many doctors over the course of my life since I’ve moved through many states, and he is by far the worst. He completely lacks compassion, is blatantly rude in his responses and interactions with patients, and is not knowledgeable about BASIC medical issues. My daughter-in-law is a physician in a different state and was appalled by his ignorance, when it came to reading my bloodwork and recommending a very simple treatment/solution. Dr. Barnett has even walked out of the room while I was in the middle of a sentence because he was frustrated. No person let alone a doctor should treat anyone this way. You can also tell a lot about a doctor by the way he or she speaks to his staff, and I’ve heard him speak rudely to his staff on several occasions. If you care about yourself, stay away from this office and this doctor. I’m absolutely appalled by this man’s behavior and treatment of patients.

Dr. Barnett took time to look at my Q and issues beforehand which was helpful and he knows the latest data. Thank you, Dr!

Dr Barnett was always very kind to my 93 year old mother. He was patient when she repeated herself and he always included her in the conversation. My mom doesn’t remember a lot but she remembers ‘that young, nice looking doctor’.

Dr Barnett is very good at his job and easily approachable. He took great care of me over the last 1 1/2yr with my multiple chronic medical conditions. He took the time needed to explain the diagnosis and how it effected my other conditions as well as treatment options. He encourages patient participation and decision making.

After three scheduling problems. I opted not to see Dr. Barnett. The decision breaker was I arrived 24 minutes before the appointment with the 8 page patient information completed. I was told I had to reschedule because it wasn't at least 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment time. So much for servicing the patient.

He's a young Doctor. He's very smart, accessible, and accommodating. Sometimes intimidating, I recommend asking smart questions and researching to have a better experience.

I had a great experience with this office. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Barnett was very attentive to me and answered all my questions in language that anyone could have understood. I have experience working in the medical field so I am very informed of things. I feel as though anyone would feel comfortable in this office.
