have seen Dr. Palmerola on two occasions. The first visit was a short conversation where I was not heard and diagnosed with recurrent UTIs. The same evening, I received my orinoculture from LabCorp, previously ordered: no UTI associated with my inflamed bladder after a hysteroscopy procedure to remove two uterine polyps. Worried, I tried to contact the doctor. Impossible. Taken by the desperation of the symptoms (continuous urgency to urinate) I decided to book another online visit (paid in full) in order to access the doctor. From there his anger ... first he sent the nurse to try to understand what had happened, and despite the reassurances of the nurse that I could talk to the doctor from there shortly. The doctor decided to make me wait longer than I should. When he saw me he showed all his disappointment. An entire visit set up on showing me that I am a old lady of 50 years old (he decided that I am in menopause despite still having a regular cycle) a humiliating visit aimed at demonstrating with coughs a stress incontinence that for me was not a novelty but not even remotely the reason why I was there. I came up with a diagnosis of recurrent UTI, stress incontinence, vaginal atrophy and menopause (the latter two denied by my gynecologist). No mention of inflamed bladder and possible overactive bladder syndrome. And the hysteroscopy that was the trigger for all of this? Dr. Palmerola's answer is that it now belongs to the past, I am simply old. All this happened while he was writing his notes on the computer, he barely looked me in the face. Notes that I have had the opportunity to read and in addition to being old I am also painted as anxious and flickering. I felt humiliated as a human being. No explanation on his part, only prescription of antobiotics, and various exams... my questions were addressed to the check out staff who kept asking him questions via text message for me. I do not question Dr. Palmerola's knowledge and experience but the empathy and inability to listen to patients; no old or young patient deserves the treatment I have received.

The initial interview lasted 10 min,no history taken,no blood work up, impossible to get results of urine c/s,never responded to my inquiries.I am retired physician myself , he has acted very unprofessionally, has not demonstrated any respect My prior medical history was very important because I had multiple cancers . I am very disappointed.

Dr. Palmerola is the Best!!
I developed bladder issues and was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis in October 2021 and for six months suffered in extreme pain while under medical care in Broward County with no results. My husband and I decided to keep searching until we finally found Dr. Ricardo Palmerola at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Miami. Dr. Palmerola’s credentials are outstanding and he surrounds himself with compassionate and knowledgeable medical staff in his offices and at the hospital. Recognizing the amount of pain I was in, with no time wasted, Dr. Palmerola did diagnostic testing and recommended procedures. Dr. Palmerola is patient, empathetic, and sincerely wants to do everything he can to help me and has been available 24/7 to answer all my questions. My husband and I felt it was important as a patient to share what excellent care and expertise Dr. Palmerola provides. We say everyday, how thankful we are that we found Dr. Palmerola. Gratefully, E&R Hardy

I had a very bad experience with this doctor. He rushes thru the visit and exam. He doesn't inform of anything, even walked out after my exam without even asking if I had any questions or even saying good bye. I am going to visit another Urogynecology with better manners. Do not visit this doctor, this is just a business for him.
