Rude and uncaring
I took my 17 year old daughter for a 3 month followup for her medication. This woman walked in and without even greeting us scolded my daughter for having her mask not pulled up high enough. While we’re were in the common areas, both my daughter and I had nose and mouth fully covered. While in the private room with the door closed, my daughter had adjusted her mask momentarily but still covering mouth and nostrils. Dr. Castillo lectured her saying, “no matter where you are in this building you’ll keep your mask fully up. There are pregnant people walking around here and you’re breathing everywhere.” Shocked, my daughter and I just looked at each other. She quickly reviewed the medication questions. Even being compliant with her office policy, she continued to be rude and treat us like disgusting, germ infested subhumans. She showed no concern for my daughters health.

Extremely unprofessional. Ignored my wishes as a patient and made me feel ashamed of my medical diagnosis. Always seems too busy to give me the time of day during appointments and brushes off important questions I have. Will no longer have her as my OBGYN.

Dr Castillo and her staff have always been kind, quick to see you and will spend extra time with you to make sure all bases are covered. She completed my total hysterectomy and I have never felt better.

Dr Castillo waited 6 months to order the right blood tests for me to find out why I wasn’t having regular periods. As it turns out there was a tumor growth on my pituitary gland which controls ovulation, and her and her nurse could care less in managing this in a timely manner. Before this she misdiagnosed me with PCOS and told me to look it up on the internet, giving me no explanation in the office or answering my questions. She is uncompassionate, not personable, and uncaring.

Dr Castillo performed a total hysterectomy on me years ago. She ordered the wrong antibiotic for the surgery, one I put on my paperwork as having allergic reactions to it. After my follow up, I had concerns about HRT and she blew me off. When I called her office about the awful menopause symptoms i was experiencing and maybe get more info re HRT therapy, her nurse at the time called and told me to "Take my little problems elsewhere". So unprofessional on ALL levels. Wouldn't recommend her ever.

I would not recommend this doctor. She is always late to see you sometimes 2 hours waiting time in the room. The staff doesn't call you when needed. I was a patient until they faxed all my records to my work without me knowing about it and I called the office and surprise no one knew anything about it. I put a complaint and of course couple of months later got a letter stating she is withdrawing from further seeing me. This is not the way you do business. Not professional.
