Never going back
Front desk and assistant was a mix of kind and rude. When Dr Paka asked about my health conditions, I mentioned years of depression, she repeatedly told me to just be positive, because life is joyful. Oh, okay, I'm cured now, thanks! Then suggested a lot of things I've already tried, like meditation, without asking. She also focused on my weight even though my problem can affect anyone with ovaries and my primary doctor is fine with my weight since weight does not equal health. Lots of unsolicited, insulting advice. Plenty of gynos out there, I recommend finding one with better bedside manner and staff.

Biopsy Gone Wrong
I went in for a simple biopsy which I've had done numerous times in the past. The difference is I have never experienced such pain from a biopsy with other doctors. I was literally crying. Never again will I let this woman near me. In addition, the noted by so called vitals for my visit when they were never taken. This visit left me traumatized. If you have any self love, find yourself another doctor.

Traumatized Patient – Sep 14, 2023

I’ve never left a review of a dr before but feel I should regarding my experience with Dr. Paka. Despite being highly recommended to me, my experience was quite negative. Routine yearly exam: breast exam was only a few seconds, and she didn’t appear to be paying attention. Not gentle at all with pelvic exam and I was in discomfort after for quite a while, which has never happened ever before. Brushed off my questions/concerns/history and just said several times to go to my primary care dr. No bedside manner. Addressed questions with broad, sweeping general statements that didn’t provide any info or thought.

She rushed my birth and did unnecessary interventions. She was more interested in going home than letting me birth naturally. Would never recommend.

Dr. Paka was wonderful but this is not a five-star review because the front desk was incompetent. Should have had a cluen when they reconfirmed the appt. three times before I arrived (each person, in turn, saying "oh, there's no note here") and then I waited over an hour before my appt. Then, when Dr. Paka recommended a follow-up test, I had to remind the front desk (waiting again, of course) and then, when they did print it out, only gave me the first page of a two-page referral (so I still have no clue where to go for the test). When I called for follow-up I punched in my info (date of birth, zip code) several times as I was transferred, then the info was demanded again . . . and again . . . and, when I told the woman on the phone that I was in an open office and this overheard phone call was already embarrassing enough . . . she got incredibly snippy. So I still have no clue about the referral or follow-up. No way to contact them online either.

front desk is incompetent – Apr 29, 2021

She is rarely there, so there is no point in having her as a Doctor. Often you are seen by the midwifes. Scheduling an appointment with her or the midwifes is close to impossible, even pretty late in pregnancy when you are suppose to go every week. There were some weeks I had to skip because scheduling was impossible. ( she is rarely there) After the fact, even sending/obtaining records from her office is pure torture. And unless you go in person to the hard to schedule appointments getting lab results is also extremely difficult. I often missed key information or was told information late because it was not written on my chart. I do not recommend. It's important to find a doctor that is present in their office, especially when the cost of care is pricey.

Worst experience ever.Paka has no sense of professionalism. Left me waiting for almost an hr to finally tell me that she has a meeting so a midwife will see me. She did that to me twice.
