Your trust is our top concern.

We strive to keep reviews honest, trustworthy, and fair.

Doctors can not pay for good reviews, nor can they pay to have negative reviews removed.

We monitor all reviews to ensure they comply with our guidelines and don’t include personal information, profanity, libel, defamation, harassment, obscenity or fraud.

Any reviews that are deemed fraudulent or violate our guidelines will be removed immediately.

All reviews are confirmed and audited before publication, and community members have the ability to flag inappropriate content for further review by our team.

She is a great listener, and always has good ideas to treat problems. Many specialists are too focused on their own area to see the forest for the trees.

Dr. Renee McDonough is a very poor clinician.
Without going into major details I would like to say that my first experience with her was pleasant but I was so very excited to finally have a Penn Medicine PCP. I think she is a poor clinician and a poor communicator. Medications that I'd previously discussed with her with which I'd had side effects were prescribed to me after telling me that I should not take them. (I never took the medications). When I was showing signs of an illness that was obviously not COVID, I was not permitted to see another Dr. in her practice without getting her permission first....this was her protocol....not just directed to me. When I finally got to see her, she ridiculed the fact that I was there with her a week after I'd become ill. She does not permit anyone to discuss other aspects of their health during a 15 minute appt; one must make another appt even if the problem exists at the moment. She delegates to her demeaning and obnoxious assistants when an email or call is requested. Go elsewhere.

excellent, extremely thorough
Fast onset of neurological symptoms, appt. quickly given. Excellent exam, good coordination with other healthcare providers. Excellent follow-up. 30 years in the healthcare field, this is an excellent Dr. Very rare interaction these days. Trust this Dr. she is all in.

I agree with letter dated May 25, 2019, Dr McDonough did the same, over prescribed and over medicated my mother while in Rose Court. After many meeting with staff and Dr McDonough about cutting med, Dr McDonough still gave my mother the same medicated until she died a few months later. I'd checked Dr McDonogh history before she started at Rose Court and she jumped around a lot. How to you go from being a Pediatrics Specialist in Delaware to taking care of old people?

I believe that Dr McDonough continually over prescribed and over medicated my Dad to boost her census and his costs while in Rose Court at Maris Grove. Even after my request to stop the medications that caused his dysfunction, she continued them. Not accommodating, stubborn; still using outdated medications that have an FDA warning for debilitating side effects. BAD doctor.
