If you want a competent doctor, go elsewhere. As a first time mom at 40 years old, I did some research and read reviews for pediatricians, and stumbled on this one. At 4 days old, she told me I was not producing enough milk and had to supplement with formula. No new mom wants to hear this, but I did as instructed. Went back several times for weight checks, and he was gaining weight. Went back before his 2 month check up because of excessive spitting up, even after trying a few different formulas. I asked if he was tongue tied, because I had looked into that as well, and to me, it appeared that he was. She said no and told me he had the cows milk protein allergy, without doing any tests or anything. So I stopped breastfeeding and put my son on hypoallergenic formula. With that, he was doing a bit better, but still had excessive spit up. So, when he was 3 and a half months old, I took it upon myself to schedule an appointment with a pediatric dentist. They confirmed what I thought, tongue and lip ties. Had she told me when I asked at 10 weeks, I could probably still be breastfeeding and he may not even have the allergy to cows milk. My son was unable to eat properly with severe ties, which is the reason for spit up and gasiness, he was swallowing too much air. So, if you are wanting to breastfeed your child and want a doctor to actually give you and your baby their full attention, please go elsewhere so you don't have to suffer like we have.

Dr Henigan is the best! She is smart and thorough and compassionate. She is there to assess, but also educates me as a parent. My kiddos have had multiple illnesses and scary things, and she is such a professional.
