Dr. Renato Geralde, DO

Dr. Geralde has been our family physician for years. He always takes his time to fully understand all the specifics and takes a holistic approach to care. I would highly recommend Dr. G to anyone who wants a family physician who will listen, be there during life changes and always provide a 360 view for treatment and longer term preventive measures. If I could give more stars I would as we have had him for our primary doctor for over 20 years.

I have been a patient with Dr Geralde for many years and he has been a very good Dr., but the issue has been his staff. For the last 3 months I have been trying to get my medications and they always say they will call me back and never do. My insurance has tried to talk to them and they never answer calls or return messages. They are aware that I need my medication for diabetes and that for the last 3 months I have not been able to get it because of no communication with pharmacy or insurance. I feel bad that I have to make the decision to leave a good Dr, but his staff has proven that they have absolutely no interest for the well-being of their patients.

Very concerned of my well being as well as my parent whom suffers from dementia. Loved his truth and bedside manners. Thanks for being there for us Dr Geralde

Dr. Geralde has been an excellent physican for me over 8 years.

I only gave one star because I could not leave zero. I was appalled at Dr. Geralde's lack of genuine interest and in response to all of my concerns, he said that he would not even consider a blood test because it is too expensive and that I would need to pay for it out of pocket. Why do I have insurance then? One example was I asked for an allergy test since it runs in my family and we live in a high-allergy area. He said no. Why? He's fired. We will never spend money on this practice, North Hills Family Medicine ever again.

He's a holistic and thorough doctor. He cares about the person, and treats you more like a friend would. He's passionate about doing the best for each person that comes to his office, and it does show.

Dr. Geralde is a wonderful doctor. He has such empathy and genuine concern for me and my family. He has helped me through some very tough times in my life and has even prayed with me. Wow, I have learned so much from this man.

He was Always in a hurry. Didn’t feel cared about by him so I always saw his PA. Loved her. Miss her but I had to stop going there. Here’s why... I recommended my son go talk to the Dr about an issue he was having. Silly me- I thought you could talk to your dr about anything. Long story short he told my son to leave his practice- knowing that he suffers with depression- how is this helpful?? Kind? Or compassionate?? This was all part of my sons mental health issues. But the good doctor failed to care. I wasn’t part of their discussion this day but I encouraged my son to talk to his dr and then the good Dr had only made it worse. I Would never recommend Dr Geralde to anyone. Whether you disagree “religiously” or not. My son reached out only to be hit hard by him.

You cannot even make an appointment without going through a long list of questions from the scheduler. TERRIBLE. Do you not use.

Excellent Doctor. Took his time to listen to my complaints, reviewed records and labs from other doctors, explained his thought process as the appointment proceeded and was able to come up with a plan to investigate my problems.

Dr Geralde and his staff are the worst I have ever delay with. Took one look at me and proclaimed breast cancer. It was not! I had atletes foot and his PA sent me for a Doppler for a blood clot. I think not! Up charhes. When I called to discuss these things I was lied to and told it never happened. Duh, I think I know what happened to.myself. They do labs and will not tell you results you have to pay for another visit to get results. Rude and always in a hurry. Front desk rude. Stay far away!

Great doctor. Always accessible and very to the point. If you want quick and accurate results I strongly recommend Dr. Geralde. For every complaint o have had for years he advised my what it possibly may be caused by and he was so right with all his evaluations.

Dr. Geralde had always taken excellent care of me and my family! I have known him Dr. Geralde since 2006 when I moved to San Antonio. He makes sure to go the extra mile, always takes the time to listen to my all of my concerns. We have had some speed bumps with my young children where specialists and other doctors were unable to help. Dr. Geralde gets to the bottom of things to find solutions when others are unable to do so, there's nothing more a parent/patient could ask for! He is the best!

I have been a patient of Dr Geralde for 9yrs now and can say I have been happy with my visits and care from beginning to the end. I called today to get work in for a sick appointment and got work into Dr Geralde's schedule with no problem. As soon as I walk into the door front desk acknowledged and greeted me, Dr Geralde's nurses where very nice and patient with me. I have been a patient of Dr. Geralde's for two years, and I am highly satisfied with his care! He is a very knowledgeable, funny, and compassionate man. During each visit he sees me promptly, making a point to listen and come up with a treatment plan I am comfortable with. His staff too, is consistently kind and welcoming. I highly recommend anyone looking for a passionate primary care physician to seek care at his practice.

Dr. Geralde is an excellent doctor. He really means well for all his patients. Some may see it as negative, but in the end he is really trying to do the best for ours health. It really was an eye opener, to see what I need to change to do better.

I am a bit surprised. l Dr. Geralde and his staff have been nothing but helpful and outstanding. I always get a call back and I never have a problem getting my family or myself in to see him. He's thorough, knowledgeable and treats me with the same respect I show him. I've never had billing issues, but then again I know my insurance. They have worked with me on several occasions. Communication. I wonder if these negative reviews are from angry patients being bullys rather than asking for help.
