Very competent Doctor
This is my second tooth extraction due to the fact that I have an autoimmune disease that leaves my tooth fragile. Dr Blanchard took the time to review my meds and question about my health before procedure. I had no problems after either procedure. I would highly recommend.

The worst dentist in Wichita.
This man deserves jail time for his sadistic tendencies. He’s the worst practitioner I’ve ever been to and his entire staff are equally unsavory. He runs a chop shop of a practice.

Worst experience of my life!!!! I first went to see Dr. Blanchaert to have a wisdom tooth and molar removed in preparation for an implant. Dr. Blanchaert said only 1 word to me (Ready!?)before jumping right in on the procedure. No bedside manner no information not a yellow how are you nothing at all. It was a traumatizing experience there after. He slipped and caused a large gouge in my gums while using his drill at one point and paused but gave no explanation before finishing the procedure. He did not speak to me about how the procedure went or indicate that anything was out of the ordinary. I was shocked and traumatized however by the wound that I discovered afterwards. I was in so much pain a few days later that I went to my regular dentist to have him look everything over and he said that if it didn’t get better in a day or two to go back and have Dr Blanchaert look at it again. It did heal up but I noticed a small bump that I thought was a bone fragment but later when my regular dentist took X-rays he said it was not bone. That it was metal and that it looked like the drill bit had broken off and was left in the wound. He told me to go back to Dr. Blanchaert to have him take a look at it. I did this and Dr. Blanchaerts response was that they would remove it when they put the implant in. I had so much anxiety after the first experience however that I decided I just didn’t feel comfortable having him do the implant. I went to another oral surgeon who also told me they could remove the drill bit when I had the implant put in but I would have to pay the $800 because my insurance wouldn’t pay for it since it was Dr. Blanchaerts mistake and he needed to take responsibility for it. I spoke several times with their office to try and resolve the issue but they refused to do anything other than have Dr. Blanchaert remove the drill bit. When I went in he immediately denied that it was a drill bit and when I told him that my dentist had X-rays as well as the new oral surgeon I had chosen, he said “Your dentist doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about!” Asked me if my dentist did surgery every day like he does and then pointed a drill bit in my face and said THIS is what a drill bit looks like! I was in shock at his rude, condescending, belittling attitude. He also told me my husband couldn’t be in the room with me when I had the procedure done he didn’t care if I felt comfortable in the room with him or not. He then said “If you don’t like it you can go somewhere else!” I tried but he refused to pay for someone else to fix the problem. So I said fine let’s just do it now. He didnt explain a thing to me about what he was going to do just said he was going to use a couple needles to number the area and wait 5 min. After he finished he left the room without saying anything at all to me. I asked the nurse to see the object they was removed and was promptly told that everything had been suctioned away and it would not be possible. How convenient. He did not speak a word to me the whole time nor did he or any of the nurses give me any after surgery care information whatsoever. Lastly, Before the surgery they asked if I wanted pain meds or just wanted to take otc meds. I thought it would be a simple removal of a small drill bit so I said otc meds would be fine. Dr. Blanchaert never indicated anything about what the surgery would entail nor did he suggest taking the prescription meds afterwards due to the extensive wound he left. When I called the after hours exchange to request the pain meds they said Dr. Blanchaert was on call for the whole office. He called me back but told me I should have requested the pain meds in the office and that he would not be able to call any in for me because he was driving. It wasn’t until I got upset that he finally said maybe in 3 or 4 hours when he got where he was going he could try and do it then. I have PTSD from these experiences and I never want to be in the same room as Dr. Blanchaert again as long as I live. He is a bully and takes advantage of his position and he will continue to do so because he knows he can get away with it. God sees your actions Dr. Blanchaert, even though you think you’ve gotten away with it all. May you reap what you sow and May the good Lord protect those who unwittingly find themselves in Dr. Blanchaerts care.

DO NOT GO HERE!! Before going I looked up the office and Dr. and seen they had horrible reviews. I was hesitant to go but we went anyways. When Dr. Blanchaert came in our room he never acknowledged us or even made eye contact. He literally walked in, looked in my son’s mouth and ask my 9 YEAR OLD SON if he wanted to be put under or get shots of anesthesia. My son answered anesthesia. And the dr said “OK, remember you said that” and walked out! Next thing I know the nurse is prepping my son and handing me a piece of paper to read and sign at the bottom and go wait in the lobby! I HAD TO ASK THE RUDE NURSE what was happening, what the dr. thought my son had and ect. I asked why I had to wait in the lobby if it was a general dentistry procedure and the nurse rudely said it was Dr.’s orders. I wasn’t about to leave my son with a Dr. who doesn’t explain or say anything and leaves the room telling my son “remember you said that”. MOST UNPROFESSIONAL DR. AND STAFF I HAVE EVER MET!!!!!

Dr Remy Blanchaert is very rude. I should have looked at his reviews before going to him. The office is very professional and the other doctors there have a very good reputation and are highly respected. He is an absolute misfit in that practice and drags the reputation of the entire practice down undeservedly.

A 1 star is being generous! I work in the medical field with all personalities and Dr Blanchaert was by far the most demeaning condescending person I have dealt with. He asked me minimal questions and interrupted me with scoffs, eye rolls and statements like, "I am underwhelmed, I have no idea why you are here, what do you want from me?" I had confirmed with his office that CT scans were received. He did not review them until I suggested that the ct would show him the large bone spur causing discomfort. He continued to say that if others would do their job there would not be a problem and I shouldn't have been referred. Then on his way out encouraged me to come back if I ever needed anything. That's a hard pass!

This office is not pediatric patient friendly! I just took my 9 year old in to get his impacted teeth removed. They just expect you to drop them off and pick them up from the waiting room no going back with them pre-op or post-op, no talking to the surgeon pre-op updating any history or even double checking if he ate or drank anything. No one there including Dr. Lichty and Dr. Blanchaert would listen to me advocating for my son! My son was so scared to have 8 teeth removed and I was not allowed to comfort him. When I finally got to see him when they wheeled him to the curb he told me “I was crying and told them I wanted my mommy and they told him he couldn’t see me until he stopped crying.” Their policy may be acceptable for adults or even teenagers but absolutely not acceptable for young children! Pretty sure he will be traumatized by this and develop a fear of dentist and surgery because of how the staff at this office treated him

Haven't felt so disrespected from a professional in yrs. Unbelievable. I should've read reviews. I hope this helps someone avoid this practice. I w1/2 office staff (Jeremy, front desk, schedule, and ~1/2 assts) are good & kind. These folks are the only ones saving this practice. The other half, particularly THE Dr. Blanchaert (a joke!) and ~1/2 the assistants were exceedingly rude for no reason. The $$$$ spent and being pushing thru like cattle is disgusting. LISTEN to your patients! SO UPSET

Wow I wish I had read the reviews before we trusted the referring doctor. My 11 year old was bullied by him. He claims to be the best in Wichita but his bedside manners are so bad I can’t believe his practice still exists. Please do your research and do not disregard people who have experienced his service. Also so you know his office is like a surgery factory, parents can’t go in and the patients are manhandled and sent out thru the back droor. I am sorry that my 11-year-old experienced this.

This so-called professional possesses sadistic, demoniac, merciless qualities. i would not recommend him to my worst enemy. He will step back and threaten to quit in the middle of an extraction if you dont stop screaming, tears make NO difference. I obviously was NOT NUMB where i needed to be. He is not kind or humane, rude and arrogant is more like it. He seemed to enjoy causing further excruciating pain. NO-NEVER AGAIN!!!!! I will resort to whiskey and pliers.

Do NOT EVER go to Dr. Blanchaert at the Wichita Oral and Maxillofacial office. Eli is clearly tongue tied and he looked at him for 5 seconds and then told he basically I need to shut up and listen to him because he was right and whoever told me that he was tongue and lip tied, was wrong. I'm so mad and annoyed. Definitely am going to look into a second opinion from a doctor who will actually take more than 5 seconds to observe him. Literally was only in the room for a total of 2 minutes.

My 15yo daughter was born w/ a cleft lip & palate. Dr. Blanchaert did her bone graft surgery (to close holes in her palate) a yr ago. She still has a hole where food gets stuck somewhere btwn her mouth and nasal cavity. She pulls food out of her nostril often. The most recent things we've pulled out of her nostril are noodles & steak. We went today to see about getting the hole closed. He said he CAN'T FIND A HOLE, that there's NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE, then straight up WALKED OUT OF THE ROOM!!!
