Dr. Rebekah Byrne, MD

I waited over 6 months to see Dr Byrne. She was great. The problem I have is that I was told to purchased a SIBO test out of pocket for $200. When it came back positive, no one called me, but I reached out to them and they said she no longer worked at Tulane and there was no other holistic doctor who could help me. I would need to reach out to another holistic doctor and start over... I also gave a urine sample that was never submitted. This is beyond frustrating.

I have been seeing Dr. Byrne for several years now. She is very caring, understanding and a great listener! I had been dealing with symptoms on the left side of my arm for 10+ years and she was the first doctor to take initiative and really investigate to see what was going on. Needless to say, they discovered I had a somewhat rare condition and I was able to get surgery to address the issue. I am now symptom free and I am grateful she was able to catch this early before the condition became worse. She takes her time with you and really makes sure she understands the issues you are having.

I have been a patient of Dr. Byrne's for about 2.5 years and am always impressed by how closely she actually listens! She pays attention to detail and takes the time to really talk with me about my concerns. Working with Dr Byrne I feel like I have a partner in my healthcare, instead of an unapproachable authority over my needs.

As an older woman new to New Orleans, on Medicare, and medical professional after reading her philosophy, I chose to see this MD. I came to her with an official diagnosis, I would not risk my license not doing so, and with an empty bottle of my prescription from my former MD. Dr Byrne refused to refill my script, exhibited poor communication skills, was not collaborative nor showed me the least bit of respect with any discussion regarding my Medicare status, but referred me to another Company.

Dr. Byrne is the most caring, competent, thorough doctor I have found in 14 years of living in New Orleans, I would not trust any other general practitioner in this city and I cannot recommend her highly enough!
