Dr. Rebecca Timme, DO

We've had a good experience with Dr. Timme. She has helped my child with severe ADHD with interventions that have improved his quality of life and made it possible to attend school and better access curriculum. My only feedback is that the sessions feel rushed and I'd like to be able to coordinate a bit more between my child's therapist and psychiatrist, but I know it's also tough to get that with any psychiatrist. Also, a bit of that is on me because I also have ADHD and am slow to process information, so fast paced sessions are a real challenge. Overall, I feel like Dr. Timme has my child's best interest at heart, she has talked us through multiple options for treatment and never pressured us to go with one we weren't comfortable with. I am grateful that we've had her on our team because ultimately honing in on the right medication and dose is what helped my child exist in the world with peers.

When we take our children to consult with a psychiatrist, we are entrusting our children to their care and count on them to have integrity with their word. Rebecca Timme blatantly disregarded the guidelines we provided her (generated along with our child's therapist, who knows him intimately) for her interview with our child, didn't follow through on her agreements made with our child, and then didn't inform us of how she had made an inappropriate intervention. To add insult to injury, she sent us meaningless form letters in response to our letters where we attempted to address the issue of her betrayal of our trust.We felt run over by her prejudices. If emotional intelligence and empathy are important for you, do not work with Dr. Timme.
