Dr. Petersen attentively listened to me and my medical issue during my initial visit. Surgery was recommended and the hernia surgery was fully explained. Dr. Petersen is a very down to earth doctor not an arrogant like some out there. The surgery went well and I am today only 3 weeks post surgery I am out of pain in the area of my abdomen where the hernia was affecting. I totally recommend Dr. Petersen to anyone in need of surgery within Dr. Petersen's expertise.

After a most difficult prognosis highly regarded surgeon from Tacoma Dr. Virginia Stowel said I'm going to have to send you to the big boys - UW Medical. Short while ago received designation "remission". Now permitted to have an incisional hernia repaired.....staying in "big boy" lane I chose Dr. Rebecca Petersen - co chair UW Hernia Center. Exceedingly competent, delightful person, she's going to advocate for you all the way as is her staff - she along w / her nurse & scheduler Jen all easily accessible. Her skill & caring helped me leave my namby pamby esque at the door & get on w / the operation. All superseded my expectations

Highly recommend. Great at getting as much done in the office visit while I was there. Since I traveled from outside of the area to be seen here.
