I can not review Dr. Kuo and her care because I have not seen her or revived care from her. This is a review of her Bollingbrook, IL office and the staff. Called to get a new patient appointment and first thing asked is insurance. (not even a name or the reason for visit). Once I told them its a medicaid managed care plan, i was told "what ever the reason, the first appointment is more than two months ago". Just very hard to believe at this time, when providers are calling you to come in for appoints because they are not busy as things open up after COVID pandemic. Just goes to show you the priority for this practice. Just so sad, there is this discrimination in healthcare and was sad to see that was happening in this office as well. I was able to call another practice in my insurance network the same day get a next day appointment.

I went to Dr.Kuo for over 6 months and never once met her. I could only see her nurse practitioner who on my last visit left me in the back room for an hour and a half. When i came out to see if they forgot i was there all the rooms were empty. But they didnt forget me right? They then started arguing about what i had received my cortisone shot was for. Thats when i decided not go back. Dont waste your time.

Very professional. Dealing with severe anxiety and physical pain, I experienced nothing but professionalism and a sincere concern for her patient. I would recommend Dr. Kuo to anyone who needs orthopedic surgery, specifically of the spine. She addressed all questions, preop and postop, and gives excellent care to her patients. One week after major back surgery I`m feeling better than I have for years.

Do not use this Doctor, she and her staff are the worse people I ever meet, they don’t care about your wellness, I had a cervical surgery and about 2 years ago and I don’t feel any better, I was supposed to have a back surgery but her assistant and scheduler fail to summit documentation to my insurance and after a year still waiting on them to summit the info, I call and they don’t answer the phone or return my calls at all. Now I’m looking for another surgeon. Very disappointed on this doctor

For one she doesn’t care about her patients, doesn’t listen to what you have to say and takes months to years to getting around to a problem you have. They don’t answer their phones, besides the front desk, and NEVER call you back when you leave multiple messages over a few weeks. I’m looking for a new doctor if anybody know one! Need to get myself fixed up after she put it off for years

Dr. Kuo is a fantastic surgeon. I recommend her often with the following warning... be prepared to wait FOREVER in the waiting room and longer in the exam room. I have never waited less than 1 hour and I’ve waited as long as 2 hours past my appointment time to see her. Also, the office staff could not be more rude. That being said, I found her to be worth the wait. Cervical fusion done with absolutely no problems and a smooth recovery.

I would recommend Dr. Kuo to everyone. She is very professional, answered all my questions, and even called me back when I needed to find a cardiologist on Thanksgiving weekend before my surgery on Monday. She preformed ACDF of C4-7 surgery on me and I am now pain free and have almost all of my neck movement back. She is very caring, knowledgeable, and gives you straight forward answers. I was very fortunate to have her as my surgeon.

I originally saw Dr. Kuo for persistent pain in my lower back: I could not sit for more than 30 minutes without moving. She did a laminectomy to "clean" my lumbar stenosis (L2-L5) and a fusion of L4-L5 to correct a slipping vertebra - that was March 2014. It was a total success. I have since seen her for what we now know is an S/I joint problem. She is great at answering questions, explaining what needs to be done and what to expect for the recovery. She is patient and listens very well

My wife has been seen by Dr. kuo 4 time now and had a routine surgery. So far my wife as waited nearly 12 hours for her appointments to begin and as spent on average 5 minutes with Dr. Kuo per visit. I do not understand how people get seen that may have a job. Her surgery went fine but was also behind schedual and once it was over, it was 2 days before we saw Dr. kuo again in the hospital. she may be a competent doctor but her servoce to her patience and lack of respect for others time is unsat

Our regular orthopedist told us that we needed to see a specialist immediately, and he recommended us to Dr. Kuo. We immediately got in the next day. We were quickly brought back to a room (which was very clean with phenomenal staff). She explained everything to our understanding after getting a background. Very good beside manner and made us feel very comfortable. Didn't want to operate immediately. 10/10 would recommend to any family or friends (after Dr. Stephen Tracey)

Totally unprofessional manner. Spoke to me very rudely and unecessarily put me down and made me cry telling me I needed two airplane seats and would die soon and leave my kids without a mother a day that the stress I was going through (my sister had thyroid cancer and I was afraid of losing my job) was no excuse and went on to brag about her personal life for the rest of the visit. Just had a redo on her failed fusion. Also she wanted to do a completely unnecessary full rod in spine suegery.

Terrible experience. Would never recommend anyone go to this doctor. Cocky, overbearing, terrible bedside manner. Surgery outcome was terrible and has only gotten worse. I am having to under go a complete redu on my spine procedure. I also have a very good friend who went to this group, had to go thru a complete redu on their knee. I found the staff and PT group friendly. I am in the medical industry. Never seen any doctor treat a patient like this. Good luck.
