Very Good!
Referred to Dr. Coalson when my gyn. retired and moved. Dr. Coalson is thorough with me and explains things clearly. When I called her office that I found a breast lump, they scheduled me to see her within days. The mammograms took a little longer to get done but not her fault. To this point, she has my utmost confidence.

Make sure she is listening to you
I have seen Dr. Coalson for a few years and always thought her competent. Unfortunately, when it mattered most she wasn't. I went to see her because of persistent abdominal/pelvic bloating and pain and she prescribed a transvaginal ultrasound. The ultrasound came back with abnormalities in an ovary and a thickening of the endometrium which were within the 'normal' range for a woman my age. From the web: 'Calcification represents one of the common imaging features of ovarian cancer. It occurs in 8% ovarian cancer, mainly in serous ovarian cancer'. I believe she ignored my pain because it was not constant but I tried to explain that it had gotten progressively worse for the last 3 months. She told me this was not a gynecological problem and to go see my GP. After more tests and a hysterectomy, I have been diagnosed with Stage 3C High Grade Serous Ovarian Carcinoma. Ovarian Cancer is a silent killer and my symptoms should have raised a red flags. I had to ask for a CA125 test.
