Dr. Raymond Filipponi, DPM

Im new to the area (ocean city) and was in need of a podiatrist, so i did what many would do; I GOOGLED!!! This doc had good reviews, so i made an appointment. All was stellar; the check-in, little wait and seeing the doc. He is very qualified, BUT it was his personality that made it for me!! He's very funny, and put me at ease right away.

I had a sudden bout of heel pain that turned out to be plantar fasciitis. As a part time seasonal resident of Ocean City I selected Dr. Filipponi based on his reviews and location. This turned out to be a fortunate decision! I can’t say enough about the experience. Marcy was able to quickly schedule an appointment and answer questions regarding my insurance coverage. Dr. Filipponi diagnosed the issue, reviewed options and provided treatment at the first visit, and discussed prevention of recurrence as well as explaining the cause of the problem at the follow-up.

I had an appointment with this doctor at his office. I found him by a ad he placed. I made an appointment for myself and my husband. I am dealing with heel and foot pain that I assume is plantar fasciitis. I had a severe sinus infection and my doctor had given me steroids for the inflammation in my sinuses. This actually helped the inflammation in my feet, but I thought I should still keep my foot doctor appointment to be safe. So I went and I explained this to the doctor. He told me to wear nothing but sneakers for 2 weeks and take as much aspirin as I wanted. He said I should come back in 2 weeks. When I went to make the appointment the doctor told me they would call me for the appointment. I waited for the call and the steroids came out of my system. The pain came back with a vengeance. No call from this doctor or his office. I was left to now be in terrible pain and have to find another doctor. Not sure why he did this but would never recommend him or ever go back to him.

Dr. Filipponi took care of my foot problem. He is very good at taking care of your medical problems. Both him and Marcy are very friendly and give great customer service.

Dr. Filipponi successfully resolved a couple of toenail issues for me. He is skilled at his work and a strong communicator, taking the time to ensure I understood his recommendations, actions, and outcomes. I required the toe to be numbed for a procedure, and he made that process comfortable. The results are great.

I like that Dr. Filipponi is very interested in the status of your entire health picture, not just your feet. He is very professional, knowledgeable and especially caring. He doesn't rush you.

I have been a patient for less than a year. He has been and excellent foot doctor for me. He comes from the old school where it matters to have your patients really feel you care about them. It is not only about the medical treatment it is also the personal treatment that helps a patient feel confident in his doctor. He has gained my confidence and respect.
