Should have checked reviews before driving over an hour to see her. First issue was how I was spoken to and they way she fixated on a past issue that had already been addressed as well as lack of understanding. Though she may have been practicing for 20+ years, it doesn’t seem like she has ever spent real one on one time with patients who have severe behavioral problems. She goes by whatever she learned 20 years ago seems to stick to it for every patient she has (I saw reviews here where she states the child acts out on purpose, not because it’s a medical issue and I was told this as well). Biggest red flag? When I questioned the medication. We had already tried one and witnessed for ourselves the adverse effects of it. When I asked if the second medication had the same effects, she immediately said neither had any negative effects. Me and my spouse both agreed that was very wrong as no medication is 100% safe or without side effects. He said to cancel her immediately.

Please go elsewhere. The office staff as well as Dr. Vasquez are rude and unprofessional with very poor communication skills as well as no desire to actually help the patients. She spends no real time addressing issues and only seems to want to push meds and her patients back out the door. Her office staff is terribly rude with the exception of one pleasant, younger receptionist. It is impossinle to receive any bit of help or compassion from anyone there. They are an office which should be there to support parents and caregivers in helping children with their issues, but seem to only be there for the $$$. Please avoid and take your child somewhere more caring and professional where their needs will truly be met.

The office staff is terribly rude with the exception of one pleasant, younger receptionist. It is impossinle to receive any bit of help or compassion from anyone there. They are certainly not there to provide a service in a caring, professional manner. Very rude. Her only explanation for my sons adhd and oddand ocd is he wants to act out. So her idea of fixing the problem is punish him let him do nothing except eat sleep and go to school and one parent parent the other children in the home and the other only deal with my son I dont see how separating my family helps. Then she yelled at me shes a psychiatrist not a therapist. Like really lady still you have a job to do and after 17 years of doing this your think youd have some helpful tips

If she can't figure out that her thermostat is set on cool and calls a service repairman to fix her heat because cold in her office-ha!! That's your first sign she's an idiot! Then to tell me that my child's ADHD symptoms are because my child enjoys those behaviors?! She talked down to me and was very unprofessional. She's a physiatrist, you would think she knows how to talk to people with respect. Not a good experience at all!

Poor experience! Pediatrician recommended Dr. Vasquez's opinion on medication. She was very unpleasant and unprofessional in her overall demeanor. Plus, her only one parent rule is ridiculous, if there had been a tough decision to be made I believe both parents are much more credible and part of healthy home. She needs to work on her customer service skills and ability to communicate in a much more professional manner, especially for someone with as much education as she has! I would travel.
