Raquel Litherland

I saw Dr. Litherland for ongoing foot pain after a trip. X-ray showed no fracture and she made an educated guess and put me in a walking boot. With pain unresolved at 4 week follow up, she recommended MRI but the orders weren’t sent for weeks, resulting in 4 more weeks in the boot. MRI showed inflammation (I had tripped again the night before) and she sent me for bloodwork. She ended up referring me to PT and a rheumatologist as my RA factor came back at 19 (vs. 400+ for RA patients). I spent 2 months in twice weekly PT, and had a very expensive rheumatology appointment which was not necessary as I do not have RA. I visited another podiatrist who diagnosed me with a pinched nerve and administered a steroid injection which brought immediate relief. I liked that she thought outside the box but would recommend testing to confirm diagnosis and advocate like heck for yourself as I felt dismissed after the false RA diagnosis.

She was amazing. Fortunately I've been pretty healthy and this was my first procedure on my foot. She explained all my options in detail and then gave her recommendation I was in and out in minutes with no pain. She totally dialed down my anxiety. I will continue to use her and recommend her to others in need of foot treatments

Dr. Litherland is always kind, compassionate and thorough. She always takes the time to listen. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs foot care!

Dr Litherland is so patient, kind and very knowledgeable. Our daughter has anxiety with injections and Dr Litherland had to numb her toe and she was so patient and so kind to our daughter. It made the visit so much easier on our daughter and us as well.

Since I have been seeing Dr. Litherland I have found her to be an outstanding physician. She always takes the time to explain my current situation and any questions that I might have for her. She continues to explore ways to help me remediate my situation and is extremely personable in her bedside manner. I would highly recommend Dr. Litherland to anyone seeking outstanding podiatry care.

I developed some pain in my right heal, enough to cause me to limp. My wife and daughter both see Dr. Litherland so I made an appointment and she provided exercises that relieved the pain and strengthened my feet.

Poor communication.

The doctor was very friendly and listened to my concerns. She was thorough and explained everything to me. She reviewed my x rays with me personally, explaining the problems and also her approach to a solution. I was very impressed with her skills and knowledge. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a highly skilled specialist, a thorough diagnosis, and a solution to the problem.

It was my first visit to a podiatrist, and I was impressed. She took a lot of time with me, and explained her diagnosis very clearly with no hint of condesension.
