Care from staff
Telehealth
The doctor's staff is very uncaring, unprofessional, and a liar. The manager of his office goes out of her way to stir things. She doesn't listen to the patient. She says that 'each and every single time' that I call, I am a problem--which is not true. As a cardiologist, stirring up an already-upset patient could cause additional heart problems, but the manager doesn't care. I have a device implanted in my chest that needs to come out, because my health is at risk dealing with the staff just trying to schedule appointments. Plus, I'm moving to another state in a few months, and don't need this implant anymore apparently. Dealing with the staff will end my life, so I need to get rid of the device so I don't have to deal with them.

I do not recommend this Dr at all!
He treated my father poorly after he screwed up a heart ablation procedure that ended up paralyzing the right diaphragm which kept him from being able to exhale carbon dioxide. He treated my dad as a number and not a human!

OUTSTANDING DOCTOR
One of the very best Doctors I have ever visited. Intelligent and compassionate, and explains things clearly. I never felt rushed by him and he accurately diagnosed my problem and gave amazing care. I saw him at Menorah and followup was in his Leawood/Overland Park office. Let me add the office is beautiful, impeccably clean and organized, and the staff was kind and helpful.

Dr. Tummala performed a cold ablasion surgery on my heart for a-fib almost a year ago. He explained all of my options clearly, performed a six hour surgery, and was at my bedside at 7:00 am the next day to see how I was doing. I have had no symptoms of a-fib in the last year, and had no instances during my last 30 day monitoring period!

My experience at menorah medical center was absolutely terrible. If you have anything to do with Cancer or heart treatment you care will be immeasurably better off at University of Kansas. In fact I think Menorah ought to relook at their procedures. Their inability to diagnose my problem almost cost me my like. I was in the hospital a total of 6 days on two separate visits. The second visit was for a pericardial effusion where more than a liter of fluid was removed from my heart. That was 6 wks after I had gone in with extreme chest pain-where I was given pain killers a stress text and then released. During my second stay they did several scans and could not determine what had caused the pericardial effusion. They finally said they thought it was a bacterial infection and I was released. My health continued to deteriorate and six weeks later I could barely stand up and I finally went to KU. If you want to live I would not recommend going to Menorah they are not competent.
