Very direct and knows what he is doing.
I’m on my third pregnancy with him. He can be very direct and speak in medical jargon which can sound scary. He is wonderful and I fully trust him and his care.

Awful Bedside Manner
Dr Kuhlmann has some of the worst bed side manner I have experienced. He made my wife and feel as though we know nothing of our pregnancy, all while speaking down to us. When we ask questions, they are rarely met with an actual answer and are more frequently described as 'that is just how it is' or some other sort of comment that doesn't explain anything. Not helpful. On the off chance a question is explained, it is frequently far too scientific and jargon heavy that only makes it that much more confusing.

After having many losses, I was referred to him by my OBGYN. He listened to my concerns, Went over all of my medical history, and ran all possible tests. Hes extremely supportive. He can be blunt but I didn't want anything sugar coated. He gave a treatment plan in a timely matter.

Arrogant, horrible bedside manner. Rudely asks questions and made me feel like I had no idea what my pregnancy should be like. I switched to a different hospital and was treated a thousand times better in a warm and caring environment. Run the other way. The man needs to retire.

Dr. Kuhlmann does not have good bedside manner, and made me feel more anxious and worried after each appointment.
