When Dr. Hlubek diagnosed my condition, I was absolutely terrified about doing the surgery. He has extraordinary skill, and the outcome was absolutely the best case scenario and I am so grateful to him and his team.

Exceptional experience from start-to-finish. Dr Hlubek was wonderful - answered questions, explained MRI and x-ray, never talked down. Extraordinary.

The visits are always prompt and efficient, and the staff from front to back is unfailingly pleasant. I've had seven back and neck surgeries, and Dr. Hlubek has done the last three. If and when I have another, I wouldn't go to anyone else so long as he's still practicing medicine.

I had a pain in my left hip and thigh. Pain increased the more I was on my feet. Dr. Hlubek saw on the MRI severe slipping of L5 on S1 and also degrading discs between L3-S1. He performed lumbar fusion with cages between the vertebrae with rods and screws for stability. 3 hour operation and 3 nights in the hospital. I was able short walks the same day of surgery. At home I had physical therapy and have been progressing well. Based on my results, Dr. Hlubek performed an excellent surgery and is a very compassionate surgeon.

Injured my nerve during fusion surgery. I woke up with permanent drop foot. The fusion had to be redone and extended eight months later. My right side has never recovered from the nerve and my mobility is very poor..

Dr. Hlbeck ,Brittany Bergman-Kaser PA_C and surgical team were an answer to our prayers. Presenting with severe back pain interfered within many of life’s facets, Dr. Hlubeck diagnosed severe degenerative discs for L4-5 . Dr Hlubeck suggested a laminectomy to be performed as the least invasive choice. In general, being exposed to negative outcomes of back surgery from friends and family, the team assuaged my fears and we went forward with surgery. Within two days I was off pain meds and walking pain free. From checking in for my appointment to meeting with the PA and doctor, every person working at Mayfield Brain and Spine was outgoing and helpful. I am very, very thankful to be “back” to normal, swimming, hiking and crossing over stones in creek beds, and playing on the floor with our grandchildren . My family sees a marked difference in my posture as I continue to work on regaining proper alignment. As the saying goes, “Just Do It!”

I really like Dr. Randall Hlubek. He has a nice personality making you feel like an individual and giving you the time you need with him to ask questions. I highly recommend him. His staff is helpful when you call with questions and concerns as well. Very punctual returning calls.

I had back surgery last year--cages, rods, and screws inserted within L4 and L5 to correct a fracture. Dr. Hlubek was very personable and attentive, never rushed during my pre- and post-op office and hospital visits. Before the surgery, he was reassuring and encouraging. I now have relief from the sciatica pain caused by the fracture.

Dr. Hlubek and the staff at Mayfield Brain and Spine have shown the utmost in care and concern for my well-being and safety from the initial consultation to surgery and recovery. It's been a journey of a little over a year for total recovery with no complications and no complaints. It is obvious that every person I've encountered loves what they do as they are pleasant and professional showing me how I can get from horrible never ending pain to a level I can manage and never making me feel that I was going to be stuck where I was. I am so happy to have found Dr Hlubek when I did or I might have made a huge mistake in finding relief. His assurance and confidence in which procedure would be of the most beneficial made it easy to get the intended result.

I’m from Ashland, ky and I’m a construction contractor. I messed my neck up early in life thru hard work, went to a lot of different doctors but when I went to my appointment with Dr. Hlubek I was ready to move forward and get the surgery I had needed for years. He explained it to the detail, took his time and put it in my language, thank you Dr Hlubek, I would highly recommend him to anyone with spinal problems. He’s not in it for the money, I honestly believe he’s in it to help people!

Very organized and efficient process. Dr. Hlubek’s explanation of diagnosis and upcoming treatment was clearly explained.

Dr. Hlubek performed by Cervical Spinal Laminectomy with Fusion in November 2020. Am still recovering but was very pleased with his treatment and followup care. He answered all of my questions with patience. While I was in the hospital he visited me every morning. One note of warning. He starts his morning very early :). I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing surgery of this type.

It was so refreshing after my recent experience with another spinal specialist to actually have an explanation for my symptoms and to not feel like I'm crazy or over dramatizing my symptoms.

I was fortunate to have an appointment with Dr. Huber. This doctor has it all together. He is personable, knowledgable and kind. He spent time with me and went through my concerns then mapped out a plan that put me at ease. I have seen a number of doctors but he made me feel that my concerns were being heard and that there was more than one way to address them. I highly recommend Dr. Huber!!
