Dr. Ramsey Umar, MD

My appointment with Dr. Umar was not good. He spent less than 10 minutes with me before a staff member requested that I leave to make room for the next appointment. I was there because I have not had a BM in over a week. He read my history and scheduled several test, but never examined me. I went to Mayo to have the test performed and when they came back a staff member called and read the results, which I already had, to me. No explanation of what's going on and what to do to resolve the situation. Now three days later and still no change! I don't feel like Dr. Umar is concerned with my health, only in scheduling procedures to generate money. I am very disappointed!

He gave me all the time I needed.

I feel very confident knowing that Dr. Umar is my gastroenterologist.Very caring and reassuring .

The office runs very smoothly. Dr Umar on time. Explains everything. The nurses and anesthesiologists in the back are awesome. They actually care. You absolutely can not go wrong with Arizona Digestive Health.

Great practice. No waiting. Dr. Umar was on time to the minute for the initial appointment and the procedure. Terrific doctor. Look no further, he's the best. Highly recommended.

The word that best describes my experience with Dr. Umar and his staff is “Transcendency”. My symptoms are gone, i am a healthier person with a much increased health and wellness. Dismissed my serious symptoms as if it was nothing and it was something. I got diagnosed by another doctor and he prescribed the medication which I needed. His assistant, Shannon, is very abrasive and hates her job, obviously. Would not recommend.

Dr and whole staff was very kind, caring and understanding. We left fully understanding why my mom was referred to their office.

I had been in the hospital late one night for extreme pain. When I called for a appointment they said the were booking n January . When I explained my situation they fit me right in.

I was in the ER for extreme abdominal pain at Banner Baywood. After the crisis was treated and had passed, Dr Umar came in, listened, cared and suggested a way forward. I felt like he actually gave my condition some thought, through the chaos of an ER department, and cared. 5 stars.

I have been to Dr. Umar twice now and he is very efficient and his staff is friendly. They all work well together.

He is very knowledgeable and caring, he saved my life by discovering cancer in my colon before it could grow into something that would effect the rest of my body, got me to a great surgeon who removed the cancer, and I have been cancer free for the last 15 years.

Dr Umar is excellent. He showed caring and kindness. He shared the endoscopy results and thoughtfully made recommendations. The staff work well together and are obviously a great team. They were amazing getting me ready for the test. They keep the mood cheerful and are very patient as they talk with patients, giving instructions and checking on their patients needs. It was a very good experience overall. Dr Umar is highly intelligent, attentive and even asked if I had any questions. I felt confident that I was in good hands.

Dr. Umar was very sympathetic and a good listener. I felt he really understood what I was describing and gave concrete helpful advice. The EGD/colonoscopy was handled with compassion and all my questions were answered. Overall a positive result from a necessary procedure.

The entire staff was friendly ans courteous. Dr.Umar took time to explain and answer questions. I didn't feel rushed or that I didn't matter.

I have been taking my special needs son to Dr. Umar for a year and a half now. We have a family history of colon cancer so my son needed a colonoscopy at only 20 years old and Dr. Umar agreed and made it happen with insurance coverage. Then my son started having GI problems a year later likely due to EDS and Dr. Umar's MA got him in quickly specifically to Dr. Umar. He is all about patient comfort and what is realistic for the patient, down to earth, no ego (but is phenomenal), genuinely cares, no long waits, explains everything. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone!

He is the best doctor ever! He explains the process, so that you understand. Always has a smile on his face.

Dr Umar was very thorough. He explained the procedure and made sure to to address any concerns. I was a bit nervous, but he and his staff put me at ease. I will recommend Dr Umar to family members.
