In a rush. Hurried and aloof
Her demeanor was not conducive to patient comfort. She was so hurried and impatient, it seemed my questions were unwelcomed. I will be searching for a different hand specialist, even if it means driving to Grand Rapids or Ann Arbor.

salesy and not recommended
What came through loud and clear was her need to sell me something. I did end up needing some treatment, but not a surgery, . Once she found out I was not interested in surgery, she abruptly left in a huff. Another doctor prescribed physical therapy. I did and it got better quickly. I did not appreciate the pushy sales tactics.

Incompetent, distracted and rude. Pushing an expensive surgery when it was not needed. Received care from another surgeon.

Dr. Ellis and her staff were outstanding. I crushed the tip of my finger in the garage door and needed urgent treatment. I was seen the same day and received the expert care that my injury required. I can't recommend Dr. Ellis highly enough.

I came to the office in April 2018, and met with Gloria and Dr. Ellis. I was in pain and my right finger would stick in place. This affected my day to day work and trying to write. Dr. E diagnosed my issue as a "trigger finger" and gave me a shot of cortisone! I wanted to thank Dr. Ellis and Gloria for their kindness and professionalism!

I was referred to Dr. Ellis by a family friend. My right thumb had been locking and clicking, and was quite painful. Dr. Ellis explained my condition thoroughly and performed an injection that relieved my discomfort. I could not be happier with Dr. Ellis and her staff, her assistant Gloria was wonderful. Highly recommend this surgeon.

Worst experience ever!!! Very cold, self absorbed, and ignorant. Was under the care of her from a surgery and since my insurance changed she would no longer see me. Even though I was still under her care and having problems.

She is wonderful! Operated on my shattered wrist and I can't praise her enough. She put this Humpty Dumpty back together again. She also sent me to outstanding therapists to complete the task. I have my independence back thanks to her.

Excellent surgeon. My scar (I had 2 surgeries, same location) is a work of art. She is straight to the point and all business but actually quite sympathetic, kind and funny when chatting w/ her. I went to a different doctor (in between surgery 1 and 2) based on a referral and was unimpressed with that ortho doctor....went back to Dr. Ellis. Only regret is going to see the other guy who has caused me a lot of pain.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Ellis?
Dr. Ellis showed up 2 hours late-walked into the exam room-didn't apologize-didn't introduce herself and said what's the problem? After a quick exam, suggested surgery saying no other options but surgery may not work. Waited for 20 more minutes for the nurse to return to say she scheduled surgery in 2 days. My son said he didn't care for the doctor and the doctor must have been 'lurking' outside the door-she came in screaming at my son AND myself. Very unprofessional! I would NEVER reco her
