Dr. Ramel Failma, MD

My wife's foot and leg are swollen and she had to apply to be seen. Paperwork was sent to her doctor in Michigan by his office and received back within a week. It took them 3 weeks to review the papers. She was denied acceptance there due to medical needs. For a doctor to refuse to see a patient because they need medical help or advisement is ridiculous.

Dr. Failma was my PCP for several years while he practiced in Tallahassee. I had several issues related to insomnia, digestion, and female reproductive issues and I’ve never seen a more caring and attentive medical provider. He ALWAYS showed respect, honesty, genuine compassion, and was extremely diligent about following every avenue for treatment and referrals. I would highly recommend him to anyone as a PCP (and I have). He genuinely cares about treating his patients and relieving their suffering in the most polite, responsible, and efficient manner.

We have been patients of Dr. Failma since 2008, following him with each move of his office. I've worked in the medical field over 30 years and Dr. Failma is at the top of my list for a competent, compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable physician; that's a rate find these days. He will research if unsure, make calls to other specialists to optimize your care. Dr. Failma is an all around top-notch doctor. He listens intently and will take his time with you.

Our family has been under Dr Failma since 2007 when we moved to Tallahassee. He is hands-down the most responsive, professional, welcoming doctor I have had in my 52 years of life. He is a true family doctor in the best sense. My children know and trust him. (Unfortunately in his new pratice he cannot see our two youngest.) I cannot say enough about him. He takes time to listen, can think”out of the box,” ...he truly knows and remembers his patients.

Competent, confident and caring. Really good.

I am not always an easy patient , I am a strong advocate for myself and sometimes resist what is best for me. Dr Failma treats me with respect and as a partner in my own care. I have trusted him for at least 8 years and he has never let me down.

I've been a patient of Dr. Failma for a long time, since Patient's First. I feel like he genuinely listens, cares, and always does his best to help me as needed. Very hard to find a doctor like him. He's priceless!

I've used Dr Failma for a very long time and I have the upmost respect for him and his professionalism. That being said I am going to find another doctor soon because his new office is horrible. All they care about is your money and what kind of office doesn't take a credit card? It really didn't bother me to much they didn't call me and I forgot my appointment. what bothered me was they never called to check on me at all. Oh wait yes they did when they wanted my Co pay.

OFFICE STAFF: A previous commentator was right on the mark about Dr. Failma's front office staff. Complete messages don't get delivered to the nurses or doctors. Messages from the office are unclear and incomplete. Follow-through is lacking. Being told by an office staffer that I didn't need a diabetes test because I wasn't super thirsty was out of line! BUT, it's getting better! I don't know if the front office staff is any friendlier or competent, but the messages to and from are spot on!

Dr. Failma is a wonderful doctor! He listens. He explains. He discusses. He advises. He gives a good talkin' to, if necessary. He spends as much time, as necessary, even if it's 45 minutes to get his point across to a challenging patient. He works to take good care of his patient. He cares. I'm only holding back 1 star, Dr. Failma, as I'd also like you to offer natural alternative facts and protocols.

My direct experience with Dr. Failma is very good. His front desk employees are a total different matter. They are not patient friendly, do not have the personal attitude needed for the front desk position. Dr. Failma moved to this office last year and it has been a nitemare dealing with the front desk ever since. Also, they only take cash and checks. They don't take debit cards.
