A while back in her older office I had to have an emergency Hysterectomy. She was prefect through it all, so sweet & caring. Acted like friends, happy to see each other & hugging. Hated that she went to a surgery center but if I need one of her type again I'll happily go to her!

She was unable to consult with me on any level. I had to ask all the questions because she is incapable of explaining on a professional level my condition because she is in a hurry, typical 3rd world clinic approach, assembly line. I should have found another Gyn but kept hoping she would at least explain what was wrong with me medically. She would throw a medical term and leave it at that. She is all about the numbers.

Was kept waiting for a long time. Then was taken aback by her arrogance / rudeness. Did not feel heard; was told this is the way I do things and you can take it or leave it. My first appointment is my last. Hiring compassionate doctors only.

Dr. Rao is one of the best medical professionals I have ever experienced. She was my surgeon for a Myomectomy. I was terrified at the thought of this surgery but Dr. Rao’s bedside manner really put me at ease. During the surgery, she removed 14 fibroids. Afterwards the incision so so very well sutured I barely felt it. My healing process was fast and there was very little pain. She went above and beyond to ensure I had the best of care in my follow up visits to gynecology. I would love to have a doctor like her for the long term. I recommend her to anyone in need of a surgeon.

As a women of color I was reluctant. I had family members that recommended other doctors. However, I was referred to Dr Rao by my OBGYN and I was told she was the best. I can say she didn't lie. This has been the best medical experience I have ever had. From my first visit on 10/8 Dr Rao until today 11/12, she has been nothing but empathetic, intentional and professional. I was scared to have a hysterectomy. Dr Rao listened and sat with me in that moment. It bears repeating, from my first visit through post opt, she and her team continue to show warmth, empathy and professionalism. She is truly called to this profession and I wouldn't have anyone else as a surgeon I would definitely recommend her to family and friends hands down. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
