My wife and I, both senior residents of Naples in our 80s, are long-time patients of Dr. Ralph Rodriguez at Internal Medicine Partners. Without any explanation or prior notice, we were unexpectedly dismissed from his practice. On April 17, 2025, we visited Dr. Rodriguez’s office to schedule our regular appointments, only to be handed identical letters stating that our patient-provider relationship was terminated immediately and without recourse. No transition period, no guidance, no referral to another provider—just an abrupt end to medical care.Due to this unacceptable behavior, we have filed a formal complaint with the Florida Board of Medicine. This review is provided solely to inform others so they can make a fully informed decision when considering this practice for long-term care.

Abrupt Termination of Care
My wife and I, both senior residents of Naples in our 80s, are long-time patients of Dr. Ralph Rodriguez at Internal Medicine Partners. No transition period, no guidance, no referral to another provider—just an abrupt end to medical care.Florida law and medical ethics demand that physicians refrain from patient abandonment. The American Medical Association Code of Ethics (Opinion 1.1.5) states: 'Physicians must notify the patient in advance and provide sufficient time for the patient to find another provider.' Immediate termination without cause or alternative arrangements can constitute patient neglect, especially when ongoing medical care is required.

Let me down
I left his care after two years because he did not recognize a kidney stone, but kept pushing me to take pain pills. Then when I successfully went to another doctor, he refused to transfer my medical records.

If I could give this man 0 stars, I would. Money grubbing. Charges for filling out paper work consistently $150-$250 each time. Doesn't care about his patients. Can't even keep information straight in his records. More concerned with selling his in house products and pushing medical marijuana cards ($500 every 6/mo) than actually helping his patients. Worst doctor I've ever experienced. Two of his office staff are just straight up rude. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

He is only concerned about how much he can bill your insurance- so much so, he will hold refills hostage until you make an appt with him. This, after just seeing him 2 months ago. Very threatening demeanor as well. Prescribed me 2 meds for years that were contraindicated with each other. He really only wanted to push his diet meds he sold. Go elsewhere.

A new patient and extremely pleased. Received an appointment for a physical and was seen within 10 days. He spent time with me and arranged a telemedicine call to discuss the test results. I then found I needed a surgical clearance for knee surgery very quickly and he saw me within a day and stayed after hours to complete and send the necessary forms. He is very personable and cares about his patients. He is my new primary care physician.

Being new in Naples and trying to find a primary doctor, I was turned off. Had to leave a message to try to schedule an appointment after calling 2 days in a row. Then when they call back he has no appointments until March 29th, I talked to them on March 10th. I can not go without my thyroid medication that long. Very disappointing and plan on letting Florida Blue know not to recommend him for new patience.

Not a good experience at all. Dr was not very inviting. I don’t expect a lot from a Dr. but making a patient feel welcome and cared for should be on their list of priorities. He was very rude and I will not be going back. I’ll be praying for him and hope he changes his attitude towards patients.

I have been seeing Dr. Rodriquez for almost 2 years and I continue to appreciate his care and help. His staff is wonderful and very kind to me. Dr. Blanco his partner is always so sweet too. I consider myself blessed to have Dr. Ralph and Dr. Alejandro as my Doctors. I have not received such good medical care in 20 years since Leaving my primary in California. They make me feel like I matter. The entire staff is wonderful but it should not surprise you. When Doctors treat patients like they matter they only employ likeminded employees. Both doctors have called me on their cell phones after hours when I was so sick last year. Thank you sooooooooooooooo much!. Jackie

Dr Rodriguez is an amazing physician! He's extremely well knowledged and educated. He's the hospitalist at North Collier hospital who I truly believe saved my dad's life in 2016. Since then, thankfully I also became his patient as well when I saw how my dad went from being critically ill to walking out of the hospital! He's caring, compassionate and a truly great doctor.

I am a retired doctor, so that I can fully evaluate dr. rodriguez abilities and expertice. He is a very knowledgeable doctor, that gives you the utmost attention, and truly takes care of the patient. Always looks for the most effective treatment for you, considering your situation. My case is quite dificult, yet I am fully taken care of, by him. He is the today's very rare doctor that will go, above and beyond, even creating a quite familiar environment for anyone. He's truly a blessing for me!

I just moved here from Texas and Dr Rodriguez is my new Primary Care Physician. He is an excellent Doctor all around. He was so helpful and knowledgeable, really good bedside manners. Very good for Spanish speaking patients also although he and his staff speak English well. He gave me all the referrals I needed and continued my prescriptions so I wouldn't go without. Keep in mind that his office does not take all Medicaid only Medicare you have to pay copay.
