Rude!
I cannot understand why Dr. Pfeiffer insists on being rude, and unprofessional. I do not recommend him to anyone!

UNPROFESSIONAL
My sister-in-law saw this so called doctor in 2021. He diagnosed her with artery disease in her lower extremities, told her that he would do more harm than good if he tried to fix them. He never referred her anywhere else. Fast forward to July 2024, she had been to see Dr. Duke and Dr. Beavers in Dothan and they were trying to help her and referred her to Montgomery. She ended up passing away a week ago. While in Flower's Hospital, Pfeiffer chose to tell my sister-in-law's daughter that she didn't exist and took pictures of her foot to use for his teaching-class. He has no care or concern for his patient's at all. All he wanted to do was say that Dr. Duke and Dr. Beavers were not even real doctors and that they can't do this or that. At least those two doctors did try to help her which is more than can be said for Pfeiffer. How he still has his medical license is beyond me. I would not recommend anyone use this so called doctor.

Only interested in the money
Awful! Went because of extreme pain in right foot. The pain was caused by my bones collapsing due to lack of arch support. He of course surmised my problem was due to veinous insufficiency (what a surprise). And then proceeded to do two separate 15 minute procedures billed at $65,000 each. I was astonished when the bill came.

A brilliant, very caring doctor.
When you show for your initial appointment, please remember Dr. Pfeiffer has already read your referral notes. Using his experience he has likely already determined his next step because this is a man with a plan. After meeting you, seeing your condition and speaking with you he will tell you what he actually thinks the next step should be. On my second visit, I was less apprehensive as the ultrasound tech, Marsha, explained the procedure she was performing. At the end of the evaluation, Dr. Pfeiffer answered my questions. He was genuinely concerned, knowledgeable and understanding. Marsha took the time to walk me to the front desk and introduced me to part of the staff - Kayla and Jamie. I appreciated that. Each one took the time to tell me that I was now a part of their family of patients. And should I ever need to come back, I will be welcomed. To Dr. Pfeiffer, Marsha, Kayla and Jamie: Keep up your spirit of compassion and kindness. It is what we all need. May God bless you all.

Dr Pfeiffer treated me with utter disrespect, in an extremely unprofessional and publicly demeaning manner. In his waiting room, in front of waiting patients and members of his staff, Dr Pfeiffer raised his voice and verbally excoriated me in a publicly demeaning, humiliating and embarrassing and extremely disrespectful manner. I don’t know that I did anything wrong at all. I had very nicely and patiently asked for and received copies of blood work results and was alarmed and greatly concerned when the results indicated I have Lupus. I asked for an appointment to see him before the one year scheduled appointment and that caused him to charge out and chastise me. I am a respected and respectful 71 year old veteran and did not deserve this treatment, nor does anyone else. I recommend that patients seek actual medical assistance anywhere else, Dr Pfeiffer does not seem to care about his patients.

May 3rd pre-surgery visit. Dr. Pfeiffer was way more engaging and seemed genuinely concerned with my healthcare. He took time to answer questions and didn't seemed rushed. Overall, a good visit! Will follow up post surgery to see if this is a trend or an anomaly!

My father in law will be 90 In September. He is a Veteran one of the kindest man you could ever meet. Dr. Pfeiffer came in the room with an attitude and spoke to my father in law as if he were a brat. He barely looked at his leg which is black down his calf and told him to exercise and wear hose. I will never take a family member or friend there again!

I was referred to this Dr. by my primary physician.. My first appointment, I did notice a lack of bed side manner, and his unwillingness to answer questions.. I had my 2nd visit with him today (12/3/2020) after a CT scan for DVT in my left leg. This Dr is extremely RUDE, wouldn’t allow me to finish a question before he’d cut me off. I told him I was frustrated and before I could finish my sentence, he tells me I have no reason to be frustrated! Really? Of course I’m frustrated! I’ve been dealing with DVT since the end of July with zero answers! I tried to ask if the clot was improving, and again, he cut me off mid sentence! I had no clue where the clots were in my leg, if they were getting better, or if there was something else I should be doing to help it improve! All he would tell me is to keep wearing my compression sock and stay on blood thinners for 6 more months and see him again then. He has ZERO compassion or bed side manner! Wouldn’t recommend this dr to my worst enemy!!!!

Dr. Pfeiffer is not only THE Best vascular doctor! He is sensitive and caring about the patient. My husband had a stroke in May of 2018 and Dr. Pfeiffer was the one that was called to check out my husband and I cannot express how much gratitude I have towards Dr. Pfeiffer. If you need a vascular doctor please give him a chance he is the best in the field. Thank you, Dr. Pfeiffer!

I am an ex paramedic and familiar with the medical community. Having cardiac stent placement several years ago in the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fl gave me an idea of the professionalism and expertise in this area. On Friday February 1, 2019 I had an angiogram performed by Dr. Pfeiffer at the Dothan, Al. Heart and Surgery Center. His attention to detail, knowledge and professionalism along with his entire staff far exceeded the Mayo Clinic experience. Top level care without compromise.

Does not have any bedside manner my husband fell after a below the knee amputation and his response was "oh well it will have to heal that way" he had infection with no antibiotics I will drive to Tallahassee or Georgia before seeing him again. He removed my husbands toe also and he wound up sepsis. I have witnessed him yelling at patients family and at his staff very much unprofessional and does not care!

I self referred to dr pfeiffer on the advice of my sister. While I initially was inclined to agree with the patient who gave him one star on my second visit I had to remember that on my initial visit he was very attentive and yet matter of fact. In retrospect I want a physician, especially a vascular surgeon, to be passionate about his patients and to fight for me no matter how much he forgets from last visit. I believe he is all of these things and I hope to come back with 5 stars in a year. ??

Very dissatisfied with this physician. No bedside manners whatsoever. He tells you one thing and does the complete opposite. I feel very sorry for the nice staff who have to work with this man. I did not choose to see this physician but was referred to him by another physician. Never again.
