Will cancel children’s appointments
He nor his staff care for the children. I would not take my child here. I attempted to have him see my daughter, he immediately ended the call when I tried to add her for the virtual visit, counted that as a no show, then I rescheduled my appointment and he counted that as a no show and told me to find a new provider. He absolutely does not care for the children and their mental health.

We waited 8 months to see Dr. Shah. He diagnosed my son with ADHD and told us that 5-6 months later when he started school, he would put him on a medication to help with his difficulties. We contacted him after school had started only to be told that we would need more supporting documents from the teacher proving the need for the medication, as if living with him wasn't enough of a testimony to my son's struggles and needs. I could not imagine waiting another several months while my child fell behind. I eventually sought help from our primary care physician who prescribed a medication under the guidance of Dr. Shah. The medication caused an adverse reaction in my son so we asked our doctor for another suggestion and he referred us back to Dr. Shah. Two weeks ago I spoke with the receptionist at behavioral health who was incredibly rude as she begrudgingly agreed to inquire of Dr. Shah if he would see us as soon as possible or, if because of the time lapsed since the last appointment, my son would be scheduled as a new patient again and we would end up waiting for months as before. After not receiving a return call during the past 14 days, I decided to find out why. I was told, without reason, that Dr. Shah would not see my son and that he would need another referral to see any provider at behavioral health. My advice: find a different doctor if you actually want help, stay away from the Aurora system, it is broken.

This review is long overdue. I have been a patient of Dr. Shah's for 10 years. When I came to him all those years ago I was quite broken. He worked with me to see my comfort level regarding treatment options and explained thoroughly each option as well as his recommendations and why he recommended certain options verse others. He has not changed this manner in 10 years and truly, in my opinion, cares for my well being in all aspects of my life and how they may affect my mental health. With his help and the help of the psychologist I saw at the beginning of my journey, I was given my life back. I highly recommend Dr. Shah. It's time for you to get your life back too.

My family has been with Dr. Shah for almost 3 years. He is very intelligent about medication, therapy, and the workings of a child's mind. He is one of the most dedicated, caring and compassionate human beings I've ever met. We will be forever grateful to him.

He is a true angel, he can establish rapport with children right away. He is calm and talks in a very soft manner. This Dr. REALLY CARES about his patients.
