Dr. Rakesh Hegde, MD

I recently had the privilege of being treated by Dr. Hegde, and I can confidently say he is an exceptional surgeon. I went in for a minor procedure, and from the moment I entered his office, I felt assured and comfortable.Over the past couple of years, I've visited many different providers for my health issues, but it never really felt like my concerns were being addressed appropriately. However, Dr. Hegde changed that. He listened to me attentively, thoroughly explained the procedure, and ensured I was comfortable every step of the way. His expertise and compassionate approach truly set him apart.Dr. Hegde's team is equally remarkable. They are super professional, attentive, and supportive, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free. I am incredibly thankful for Dr. Hegde and his dedicated team. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of a skilled and caring surgeon.

I recently visited Dr. Hegde for a rather painful condition. From the moment I walked in, I was well taken care of. His staff was warm and friendly, and they put me at ease right away. Even brought a wheelchair when they saw me in pain, which was really appreciated. Dr. Hegde was highly competent, skilled, incredibly compassionate and took very good care of me. He answered all my questions and took the time needed to help me understand the after care plan. The procedure went smooth and I left feeling cured. I would recommend him to anyone needing a proctologist. With Dr. Hegde, you are in good hands.

Had a visit with this doctor and was immediately judged for my appearance throughout the entire appointment. Extremely upsetting and uncomfortable situation to be in while desperately searching for answers to your pain. Get any another doctor.

I was assigned Dr. Hegde at Cox Health Springfield when I went to the ER for diverticulitis. In my follow up visit he scheduled a colonoscopy at The Martin Center for a couple of weeks later. He gave me a list of preparation requirements which I followed to the T. On the day of I went to the Martin Center to check in and THEIR list of preparation requirements did NOT match those of Hegde’s . And they refused to do the colonoscopy. I was furious and called Hegde’s office FROM the Martin Center and told them what was happening and they TRANSFERRED my call to customer service! Customer service finally called me back hours later with NO explanation of how this occurred. I asked for an apology call from Hegde and an explanation FROM him. I ended up writing 6 emails then got a call from a VP —but NOT from Hegde. I NEVER heard from ..EVER. Hegde had said I would “probably “ need a bowel resection but need to confirm that thru the colonoscopy he scheduled. I went to Merct in Fayetteville, had a colonoscopy (with NO problems) and the surgeon said I in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORMneeded ANY kind of surgery. I do NOT recommend Cox or Hegde for ANY serious procedures.

Dr. Hegde performed my most recent colonoscopy. This was not the first time I've had the procedure. But this was the first time with this doctor looking up my hind end. I had no complaints with the now-retired physician who performed my past colonoscopies. He did a great job, as well. But Dr. Hedge was even better. I came out of sedation quicker, and wasn't bloated all day this time. Plus, in the past I would have to follow up with my primary physician to get all the details, which is okay. In this case, however, Dr. Hegde's Physician's Assistant called me to go over everything with me. She's awesome, too.

Dr. Hegde is highly empathetic and caring. He helped with timely diagnosis of my health issues and referrals to specialists in Neurosurgery.

Very friendly. Cares about patient. Wonderful with older adults
