My mother was a patient of Dr. Nair for a year and a half. The chemo treatments became ineffective on multiple myeloma. We told him we were seeking Car T, alternative treatments and she wanted to stop treatments with him. We asked him to transfere her care to Barnes Jewish Hospital to find an attending physician. He said he would contact them Five months later we had asked if he had found an attending physician at total of three times. He had never contacted them. Once an ER Dr. had her immediately transferred we we found out he had lied. Once she returned her numbers were too low to safely treat her on chemo. Dr. Nair told her about a new alternative treatment chemo that was promising and as good as Car T. He didn't tell us she was the first to receive this treatment or that her numbers weren't high enough to continue. He gave her the treatment. A few house later she was rushed to the hospital with a reaction. Two and one half weeks later, last week she died in my arms.
