Very positive. Dr. Woods knew he could help me and after more than 5 years of incredible pain and frustration with our healthcare system, I was more than ready. He replaced 2 discs with composites and the pain was gone immediately. The hardest part was no bending or twisting for several months. Dr Woods absolutely is blessed!

I am very pleased with Dr. Woods and his team. I fell and hit a wall, ending in a broken neck and paralyzed right arm. After 8+ hours in surgery, and after 4 months time with therapy and exercise I now have about 80% use of right arm and gaining strength every day.

For years I had pain shooting down my legs. It didn't matter if I was walking or just standing still. I had steroid shots at the pain clinic. The shots helped for only a few hours. No fault to the pain specialist ... my issue was beyond that point. I went to physical therapy ... again, nothing, no change in pain. I was referred to Dr. Rafeek Woods, MD at Lakeland Neurosurgery. I liked him from the start. He was very confident that he could correct my spine issue with a spinal fusion. After the surgery was completed, and I was over the affects of the anesthetic, my nurse had me walk around the hospital. I had no more pain shooting down my legs. The pain from the surgical site was minor. Ibuprofen worked to ease the surgery pain. At the surgical site I wasn't stitched together... I was glued together. There were no stitches to dissolve or be removed. I could take showers at any time. It's been 3 months and I'm back to normal.

Dr Woods treated me for lower back pain. He was wonderful at taking his time to explain every step taken before surgery. I am ecstatic that he solved the problem and today I am pain free. He and his staff are the best. I highly recommend him

My first visit was very professional. He answered all my questions so that I fully understood what my problem might be. Even though my problem was more than I thought it was, I left his office feeling optimistic. I did have surgery and I feel great. After the surgery Dr. Woods informed my family right away about how things went. He also came to visit me soon after surgery. I like his professional bedside manners.

Dr Woods came highly recommended. Very professional, thorough, takes time explaining reason for surgery, xray, surgery procedure and takes whatever time is needed to answer questions. He's very particular about setting up for surgery and the only ones that can handle his patients during surgery are his assistant Katie and himself. Fr. Woods and his staff make you feel comfortable about your procedure you're you're having done. Excellent follow up afterwards. Would highly recommend and would never use anyone else.

Dr. Woods fused 5 vertebrae in my lower back. My feet and legs were going numb prior to surgery. I had immediate relief from the surgery. I had pain due to shingles for nearly 30 years, and Dr Woods did an occipital nerve Neurectomy. Although I still have some slight pain, the surgery was worth getting. It also solve some other health issues that I had been having that other doctors could never solve. Wish I would of met Dr Woods years ago. He's always pleasant, and he cares.

After having much leg pain and getting no relief I was referred to Dr. Woods and got my appt. less than a week after my myelogram and was scheduled two days later. After he preformed a laminectomy on L1 thru L5 the pain in my legs was gone completely gone. I couldn't be happier with the outcome.
