Dr. Rafael Garcia, MD

Dr Garcia actually takes his time and cares about his patients. PKD runs in my family and all other physicians went off of my blood work, he scheduled an ultra sound of my Kidneys and was able to diagnose me with PKD.

Dr. Garcia takes his time with me, asks many questions, and is very personable. After speaking with several doctors who basically sidestepped my concern; Doctor Garcia prescribed a medicine that helped me. This doctor reminds me of a country physician who cares about the person rather than serving the needs of pharmaceutical representatives.

Dr. Garcia is not the only physician that is ruining his reputation with incompetent support staff. Apparently this is the MO for most doctors in Corpus Christi, TX. No one ever answers the phone; no one calls back after you leave numerous messages; prescriptions cannot be refilled as no one follows up--and then, no one notifies patients that the doctor has changed locations and practices leaving you totally in the lurch at critical times. Now, filling medical histories out once again; long waits to get an appointment; and the phone goes dead after ringing and ringing with no response. By the time an appointment will be available, I will be living in another state. Thank God it is one where medical staff actually answer the phone, call you back, and fill prescriptions on a timely basis. My health will no longer be in jeopardy. Is this unusual? No--I have tried over a dozen physicians here in Corpus Christi and this is true for all. Wake up people and demand better treatment.

Today was the first time I visited with Dr Garcia because my dr's schedule was full, I'm a retired nurse from Christus Spohn Hospital, Dr Garcia listened very carefully to what I was saying, he's very professional and polite, he carefully examined me, I got an injection and medication, I was VERY impressed with him and highly recommend him. If I could give him 10 stars I would.
