Best PCP !!
Dr. Kumar has been our PCP for almost a decade for my family. She is very knowledgeable, caring, and friendly. She doesn't rush and spends enough time explaining if there are any medical issues and guides how to mitigate them.

Not worth for Medical for pilot. Could find any stupid reason like sleep apnea because of the circumference of your neck. Never heard that one before! Fail your AME if you’re a pilot and then regret going to her instead of someone else. Said she could get a response from FAA the same day but at the moment it was pretty late. No big deal there. I waited and eventually send her a message after a month inquiring about the issue , as I do have a medical condition. Her reply was FAA will contact me directly. This was 3 months ago. I regret the moment I went to see her to get my medical. I’m certain she is a good doctor but I’m still cursing the moment I went to see her. Beware if you’re a pilot and makes the same mistake of seeing her. There is no hope. She didn’t deliver any resolution or any solution. I’m still waiting on FAA per her message.

Best internist ever!
I have been a patient of Dr. Kumar for many years, I see Dr. Kumar every 3 months to review my bloodwork and manage my medications. Dr.Kumar spends the time to answer any questions I may have. I tested positive for Covid at 11:45 on Christmas Eve. I called Dr.Kumar’s office and she called me back 5 minutes later with instructions for treatment. I immediately went to St. Barnabas to get the antibody infusion she suggested. Thank God for Dr. Kumar! If you want personal care, forget the Corporate practices out there today and make an appointment with Dr. Kumar. I guarantee you’ll be thrilled you did,

Dr. Kunar is the doctor for both my mom and dad and to say she’s the absolute best is an understatement! She takes the time to listen and connect to the patients. She understands what medication is needed here in the US based on India prescription and is very patient with elder patients. She’s an embodiment of what good doctor should be! Her staff is also very cordial and friendly!

I recently positive for Covid. The minute I notified Dr. Kumar’s office about it, I was placed under exemplary care by the doctor and the front office team. Dr. Kumar explained in detail what needed to be done and greatly helped alleviate my fears associated with this Covid virus. Dr. Kumar regularly checked on me with the tele visits and helped me get on the road to recovery faster and safer. My heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kumar and the front office team for the wonderful patient care provided to me. Thank you.

I had 2 recent sick visits to Dr Kumar. On both the occasions Dr Kumar and her staff, coordinated in getting me the appropriate treatment promptly and avoided what could have potentially turned serious. Dr Kumar has exceptional diagnostic skills, always stays up-to-date with current treatment plans which is a tremendous advantage to her patients. Her office staff is also very pleasant to deal with. They are polite, respectful and prompt. Mahua especially was very helpful to me on both these occasions when I ended up requiring emergency care. Thank you Dr Kumar, Mahua and to the rest of the team for helping me out. I'm so grateful to you all!

Good doctor but terrible staff!! MAHUA DEY - the office manager thinks she is God's gift to mankind. Rude, obnoxious and ill-mannered. I asked a simple question regarding bloodwork and she basically told me to go to Labcorp. Not only that, she walks over to the front desk and tells the staff not to give me an appointment in the future. Real piece of work!

BEWARE- the billing department is HORRIBLE! They told us we would have to pay $85 for an office visit when we are fully covered by our insurance company for said visits, all because they don’t want to code it correctly. When the insurance company tried to talk to the billing department they were rude and hung up on them (more then once.) They then told our insurance company they were not accepting our insurance anymore so we’d have to pay or find another doctor.

Dr Is good but unethical billing practices. Usually I dont care but when the extra charge is hitting my deductible, I asked the questions and boy o boy...billing lady was RUDE as hell They charged me for Office/outpatient visit and then ' Preventive Medicine Counseling'.. When I asked for the difference I was told thats medical consultation...umm then what is that office visit for... to see her face?

I was waiting to have an EKG done when I saw a poster for Lipo BC. I had been so frustrated about my weight. Nothing had worked. I made an appt. that night and then joined the weight loss program. Since I already had a proper diet, I only had to tweak a few things. (I opted not to buy the food thru the program.) I am so grateful to Dr. Kumar. I have lost 50 lbs! I enjoy going clothes shopping again and recently wore that little black dress that's been hanging in the closet for years.
