Dr. Rachelle Brilliant, DO

Dr. Brilliant takes the time to listen to what you have to say and offers great advice and suggestions when needed. I go in with my list of questions and they are always answered!There is hardly any waiting time when you go to see her in Troy (Jordan Road) and she is always very friendly and up beat.Dr. Brilliant is very caring and is on top of everything that has to be done...including blood work to check kidney function, cholesterol, blood pressure etc etc etc!Dr. Brilliant is very knowledgeable and keeps up with all the latest news on health.I really enjoy my appointments with Dr. Brilliant and always look forward to the next one!I would recommend Dr. Brilliant to anyone who is looking to find a new doctor to go to!!

Dr Brilliant listens to me and respects that I am very vocal about my medical needs. I trust her decisions because we make them together.

I am deeply concerned about Dr. Brilliants methods of practice. The medical world is very gray and she lives in the black & white. She seemingly pre-determins her diagnoses before actually listening and talking with patients. I would imagine the first thing you see if you were to enter her house is a blown up copy of her medical degree. Her enlarged ego is very apparent and gets in the way of properly diagnosing patients. If you want to get talked down to and made feel stupid Dr Brilliant can fulfill your needs. Otherwise stay away from her at all costs!!

I scheduled an appointment as a self-pay, which I communicated upfront as I was making the appointment. I had to book six weeks out to get an appointment, and then the week before the appointment, I called to reschedule but was told abruptly that the appointment was canceled earlier that morning. When I asked the reason, I was told that they do not accept self-pay appointments and that they sent a text message and voicemail informing me that the appointment was canceled. I didn't receive either communication, and if the doctor or practice had such an issue with self-pay appointments, they should have declined scheduling the appointment as now I have to wait another six weeks for another doctor who will hopefully treat their patients with more professionalism, courtesy, and honesty. The practice had multiple opportunities to inform me in advance or handle it in any other way that would have been more courteous and less uncaring.

I am not quite sure why Ms Brilliant chose this profession, she clearly does not have empathy for her patients nor is interested in listening to their health concerns. She comes off as very arrogant and completely lacks bedside manner. She seems more concerned about getting in & out of her pt’s appt as quickly as possible than diagnosing, caring or treating her pt

Dr Brilliant has always treated me with respect and concern. She counseled me when my husband and two best friends all died at same time. Very caring and helpful to me. Always responded when I left messages. Very good Dr..

I was not pleased with her service. I felt rushed and she had flat affect with no bedside manner. She even walked out of the physical without saying bye or anything. I had to go to the Nurses' station where she was and asked if we were finished. I will be finding a new Doctor.

Dr. Brilliant is a great doctor. She is very clear and direct doctor, who is knowledgeable of various health issues, and when she has concerns she refers one to the appropriate specialist. I have been particularly impressed with her ability to follow-up when she gets test results or messages from patients. She even called me on Christmas to make sure, I appropriately adjusted my medication after getting test results. Moreover, she provides excellent care wih mental health issues.

Made me feel bad for coming in. Did not listen to my complaints about newly prescribed medication. Went in for two major health problems, almost made me feel like I was making them up- was confirmed for both after asking her to test. Just usually seemed annoyed and that you were wasting her time.

While she was highly recommended to me, she didn't seem to care - either about me or about why I was there. I seem to remember her only about 5 mins with me & as I tried to talk with her she was moving toward the door and out. She would not listen or offer options. I was told that a DO would be even better at offering alternative options but she didn't offer anything. I've found more assistance online. I was uncomfortable with her. I gave her a second chance with no improvement. Won't go back.

When I came to her as a new patient she took her time getting to know me and my medical history. She is very thorough and never makes me feel rushed or as if my questions are not important.

She thinks she knows it all. Doesn't listen. Doesn't like Takes questions as challenges to her authority.

Spends almost no time. Doesn't listen. Doesn't seem to care. Doesn't review your history or know what your prescriptions are for. Not friendly. Won't go back to her.

Was not very personable. Actually referred me to a specialist and transfered the wrong patient information. Does not respond in a timely manor.
