Worst experience with a doctor…ever
As the mother of a medically complex child who has had interactions with many doctors over the years, I can hands-down say that my experience with Dr. Rosen ranks as the worst experience I’ve ever had with someone is this field. Her ego is too fragile for her to remain open-minded or child-focused—two qualities important for a medical professional to possess.

Very knowledgeable
Has been able to access and address GI issues with our medically complex child that have not been resolved by other GI specialists. Has considered the multi-system implications of her care and has helped to organize receiving appropriate an effective care in related specialties in addition to her GI needs . Very thorough and empathetic.

Knowledge Without Application
Dr. Rosen may have a wealth of knowledge in her field, but if she does not use it to help her patients, it is useless. We waited for six months to get into an appointment with her at the Aerodigestive Center. She spent about 20 minutes with us, trying to understand our medically complex daughter who has been struggling with GI issues for almost two years. She provided helpful information during our visit, but the help almost completely stopped there. We heard from her one more time, two days after our initial visit, to briefly discuss bloodwork she ordered for my daughter. She recommended she start taking a multi-vitamin with iron, and that was the only help she has been so far. (And really, her pediatrician should have told us that.) It has now been two months since we last spoke, despite us trying to reach her through multiple calls to her practice, several messages through the Boston Children’s patient portal, and reaching out to a social worker at the hospital for assistance.
