Dr. Purushotham comes into the exam room fully prepared. She has reviewed my medical history and always asks a few question about it. She then listens to what I have to say and thinks about how to address my issues. I leave the office feeling as if she has listened to me and then responds appropriately!

I really, really wanted Dr. Purushotham to be the doctor for me since I am new to Tucson. However, when I had my well-women visit something was just off. When my Oncologist asked me about my pelvic exam is when I realize that Dr. P did not give me one. So I am back on the hunt for a different female Internist. :(

When you’re in the health field take time to listen to your patients with empathy pay tension to your bedside manners into what your patients are saying you are there for them not for what you want. Get to know your patients mental health and anxiety and depression is huge it is a silent killer and will physically destroy your body. You’re in the health field for crying out loud be kind to your patients.

Dr. P has been my PCP for several years. She is thorough, asks if I have any questions and explains things simply so I can understand. She or her experienced staff always see to my needs be it a referral, refill or medical question. When needed I use the patient portal and they get back to me in a timely manner.

Dr. P is by far the worst doctor on the planet. She doesn't listen, she doesn't care, she refuses to prescribe medications previously prescribed by another doctor. She doesn't call back with test results. Instead,
she farms you out to different specialists. Getting an appointment is impossible! I last waited 30 minutes to get an appointment only to learn her first available appointment is in January! It's September!
