Easily the rudest doctor I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to many. He rushes through and is dismissive. I went in for SI joint pain and the only good thing I can say is that my goal was to get a rx for physical therapy, which I did. He told me he could give me a cortisone shot but didn’t believe in them (I never even brought up getting one nor did I ask for one or his opinion on the matter). He told me I was wrong about where my pain was and then wrote me a rx for PT. Bizarre.

Back Surgery
Dr Mirkin performed a comprehensive back surgery on my 83 year old wife. She was in extreme pain before the surgery and had difficulty walking without a cane. She is now 85 and we have travelled extensively in the last two years and she walks freely without a cane or walker and the pain was eliminated after surgery. He totally restored her mobility and quality of life.

I recently had back surgery with Dr mirkin. And I have had complication after complication. I have had nerve pain shooting from the left side of my back down my hip for months numbness in my leg. I have fallen several times. Injured my knee had to get a MRI. Very thankful my knee will be only bone bruised and will heal but after 6-9 months. This Dr is beyond rude has no regard for what is going on with you physically after surgery. I am having stiffness and back pain, nerve pain and he tells me nothing is wrong with you go back to work. I work standing on my feet for eight hrs a day and am in no shape to be able to tolerate or perform my job duties. BEWARE. Terrible horrible surgeon. Please do not allow him to perform any surgery on you.

A horrible doctor. Told me I had a fracture vertebrae and even showed me a xray with a L3 and L4 vertebrae fractured. He performed the surgery after surgery I was unable to walk much in severe pain. leg would not work right i went to see 2 other surgeons found out screws were put in wrong 1 pierced a nerve the controls leg muscle causing severe pain the other was placed where it lies between 2 vertebrae that restricts my movement. Now got to have corrective surgery. BE AWARE research shows

Dr. Mirkin was a big disappointment after reading all of the positive reviews about him. He spent all of 5 minutes with me and didn’t even do a thorough physical exam. He was abrupt and I felt as though I was being blown off. I would not recommend him.

Horrible Doctor. Horrible experience. I second what everyone has said about his arrogant, condescending, demeaning, attitude. He stated "I'm a surgeon" to me as well when I was asking to go over my MRI I thought maybe he wanted me to stand up and clap for him or something. He didn't even look at me or spend any time learning anything about my case, or what I was there for. He made ridiculous assumptions, would not answer my questions, told me to go home and live my life, insulted me. Nvr go2him

Dr. Merkin performed a lumbar fusion and was one of the worst doctors I've ever meet . His bed side manners are poor, his willingness to listen to his patients is lacking. He miss placed a screw when he did my surgery and when I complained something wasn't right for months he ignored me. Finally got a reputable doctor to fix his mistake.

Took our son to see Dr. Mirkin after he was referred by the Orthopaedic Surgeon because of pain that started in his ankle & was shooting up to his hip & back. Dr. Mirkin walked in & said, Your MRI looks fine, so why are you here? Didn't you read the sign on my door when you came in? I'm a Surgeon. There's nothing I can do for you. Our son explained again that he was following the Orthaepedic Doctors orders who referred him & Dr. Mirkin repeated, The note on the door states Surgeon & left
