Dr. R Isela Machado, MD

It's rare when you have a doctor who actually takes the time to listen to your concerns and explain your conditions to you not just come in and type on their computer. I would follow this doctor to any facility

This place is a joke. Very first appointment was at 10:50 waited an hour and a half then had to ask what was going on. Finally we got in. Dr was ok and seemed to listen but once we left (after getting blood work) we heard nothing back in regards to our bloodwork which had some abnormal stuff on it. We called after we got the results online but never received a call. We left several message but nothing. Very unprofessional. We got a response (2 weeks later) saying we have to schedule a telehealth appointment to talk to her and if we don't like that option we can go see someone else. Would not recommend this office or DR.

This doctor was willing to listen to me, as well as setting a list of priorities that she wanted to address in the visit, and I mutually agreed. Overall left very satisfied and will be bringing in my husband as well for her to be his PCP.

She really took the time to listen to all my questions and concerns. Not only did she address my concerns on the first visit, but she also addressed my preventative care. I’m really grateful to have found this doctor.

I was very anxious about seeing a doctor being as I haven’t seen one since the beginning of the pandemic. She took the time to listen to my concerns and provided an action plan for me at the end of the visit, which was very reassuring. I have to travel a long distance for this office, but I feel it’s worth the care I am receiving.

I noticed that someone in the review commented on having to wait to see Dr. Machado. I will say that I am more than happy to wait for her to see me because she actually listens. She's very real and helps me understand what issues I should be concerned about and what issues I shouldn't be. She has a great sense of humor as well. I'm a math educator and she drew a graph to help me understand something and I was delighted.

Is Dr Machado a good doctor? I don't know. I was on time for my first appointment with her and waited 45 minutes in her exam room; she never appeared. I finally left because I had to get to another appointment elsewhere. In My Chart, this appointment was recorded as a "no show". Which it was: but Dr Machado was the no show, not me.

Since i selected her as my PC physician about 5mos ago, i have found her to be very caring and concerned about my healthcare needs, and has been very accessible to me. She has been very helpful in getting my medications refilled when i neglected to follow up with my psychiatrist, and i appreciate that she listens to me and patiently explains any questions i have regarding treatment. I am rather contented to have her as my physician, esp as the last provider i had was a real Bugbear, and caused me much distress and utter vexation......

Had a question about meds but never got a call back. Done. Bye-bye.

Dr. Machado is an excellent Doctor, would recommend her care to anyone in my family.
