Outstanding Level of Care
Dr. Finney, treated me with professionalism and kindness from the moment we met. Dr. Finney's expertise in his field is evident, but what sets him apart is his genuine care for his patients. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly, answer all of my questions, and ensured that I fully understood my treatment plan. I would also like to thank Dr. Finney's entire team Amy, Kate, and the entire staff were fantastic. Simply Dr. Finney and his team are a Class Act. Victor and I would like you to share our thanks with the CSU Team and Dr.FInney and his team.To everyone at St. Joseph Medical Center who played a role in my care - from the nurses and doctors to the support staff - thank you from the bottom of my heart for your unwavering commitment to providing exceptional healthcare.PS. We never had any issues with getting an appointment or being seen by Dr Finney. They also respond quickly to home nursing when they called the office.

Dr. Finney performed emergency surgery on me two years ago. I’m thankful that I’m still here to talk about it. I just wanted to say thank you, to the entire staff, for your compassion, expertise and giving me another chance at this thing called life. Forever grateful.

Risky Business
My only sister died right after Dr. Finney performed bovine mitral valve replacement, still intubated & unconscious. Her body was left there in ICU recovery with open chest, bloody & a blanket tossed over her body. My brother told me not to come it was too traumatic seeing her like that. Finney put down rheumatic heart as the cause of death. She had all the tests including echo, nuclear stress, angiogram. Why wouldn’t Dr. Finney know her risk for poor outcome in advance after all those tests? A few days after her death a birthday card from her came in the mail - she mailed it the day she died. She would never have done that if she thought there was a possibility that she would die. Was she cautioned? Maybe a minimally invasive valve repair could have been attempted to see if it gave her relief.

I can’t say enough about Dr. Finney’s approach towards his patients and how I saw him relate to the hospital staff. Oh and the surgery was a great success. Thank you Dr. Finney. I will say that I wish nutritional rehabilitation would be included. The studies show that a diet that is Plant Based Whole Foods guards against future heart issues.

Office staff is terrible. Just wanted an appointment and was pushed off for almost 4 weeks and still no appointment. Always the excuse that Doctor is so busy. Too busy to even make an appointment? Most offices open the book and look for an open slot. She acted like she was so overworked and just couldn't find time to look. Too bad, Dr Finney was highly recommended. Good luck getting through the Gate Keeper.

Dr. Finney is amazing and extremely humble for a brilliant surgeon. He performed emergency bypass on my husband and we could not have asked for a better person to perform it. He is so down to earth and truly calmed our fears through the whole process. We are truly blessed to have had him in an emergency. We are forever grateful. He gave us a precious gift.
