strange deposit
I called the office to make an appointment. with Dr. Fauria. I said My insurance is PPO Blue Shield . The person on the front desk asked me for 60 dollars deposit. I told her that with my insurance I do not have any copayment. The person on the front desk said that it is ($60) an office requirement and without it doctor won't see me.

I strongly urge you to find another (real) surgeon... an orthopedic foot specialist preferably. Dr. Fauria mangled my feet. I went to him for to increase function, and improve the appearance of my feet . On my left foot, he performed an incomplete bunionectomy, and removed only about 40% of the protrusion. My second toe curves severely to the left, and he removed so much (almost all) of the bone in my poor middle toe, that it looks and functions like a floppy, stubby WORM. It has no stability whatsoever, and is shorter than the the toe that’s next to it! This has affected the function of my foot, not to speak of the appearance.... it looks frankly weird. I cannot wear sandals that expose anything below the very tips of mmy weird, dysfunctional toes. On my other foot, he removed too much of the bunion which has caused the big toe to drift outward, creating a big gap between the toe that is next to it. He removed too much bone on the now floppy little toe, My feet hurt and look HORRID

Dr. Fauria did my bunion surgery about five years ago. Everything was perfect I am in no pain and I would recommend him highly. Everyone in the office was very professional and courteous.

Dr. Fauria is an amazing Doctor. I put off getting my bunion corrected for years because I heard how painful it was and also I would of been layed up 6 to 8 weeks. I had my surgery on Jan, 18, 2018 which was a Thursday and I went back to work on Tuesday. And I was driving that weekend, my bunion was on my right foot. I NEVER had any pain and I NEVER took one pain pill. Dr. Fauria and his staff were all very nice and pleasant I'm going to miss them. I have referred at least 5 people to him.

Had a stress fracture in my toe metatarsal from a 20 mile march in the Marines, that didn't heal right and military docs denied anything was wrong. Dr Fauria was able to accurately diagnosis and surgically correction the issue. I was at 20% of capability before the surgery and am now at 95% capacity 10 years later.

I had major foot surgery a few years ago by Dr. Fauria from which I have never completely recovered. The main thing I would like to share is that he has the worst bedside manners and in general he is rude to his staff as well as to his patients. The man thinks his sh..does not stink (sorry). When a discomfort is expressed he takes it personal. The last time I saw him he got condescending when I told him I still had lots of pain where he operated. I feel sorry for him.

Dr. Fauria with Dr. Pettinelli performed Achilles tendon surgery about 4 months ago. I'm still limping somewhat but pain was minimal (considering) and everything went well. (research says this is normal) Another doc in the area wanted an unnecessary MRI but no such antics here. Post-op instructions could be a bit more complete (ah hem) but that's my only criticism.

Dr fauria is a good doctor. However is billing office is very bad and not helpful. Would not go back because of this. My wife and I both had really bad experiences getting a explanation of money due. Their billing system is terrible.

Dr. Fauria is amazing! He corrected my foot problems with minimally invasive surgery that took only a few weeks to heal, while other docs were recommending complex, expensive Frankensurgery procedures that would have left me immobilized and in a cast for months. The nurses in the surgery center told me they think Dr. Fauria is the best in his field, and many of them have used him for their own foot procedures -- probably the best recommendation any doc could ask for!
